What you need for an Extra Origins 1.19.2 server
This setup targets Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2, not Bedrock Edition and not a later 1.19 release. Use Fabric on the server and on every client. Extra Origins 1.19-2 is listed for Minecraft Java Edition 1.19 through 1.19.2, with Fabric or Quilt support and both client and server support. The CurseForge file for this release is named extraorigins-1.19-2.jar and was uploaded on July 17, 2022.

Keep the server and clients on compatible builds of all four mods. A jar that works for another Minecraft version, loader family, or mod release can produce a missing-dependency or incompatible-version error even when its filename looks similar.
Install the Fabric server

Create a dedicated server folder
Make a new folder for this SMP, separate from other Minecraft worlds. Keeping one instance per folder makes backups, logs, configuration, and rollback easier to manage.

Install the 1.19.2 Fabric server
Use the Fabric server installer for Minecraft 1.19.2 and place the generated launcher and supporting files in the new folder. Do not select a different Minecraft version during installation.

Launch once to generate the structure
From that folder, run the generated server launcher with a command equivalent to
java -jar fabric-server-launch.jar nogui. The exact launcher filename can vary with the installer. The first run creates the world, configuration files, logs, and themodsdirectory. Stop the server cleanly
Use the server console’s stop command rather than closing the window. A clean stop finishes world saves and leaves the instance ready for mod installation.

Add the required jars
Place the matching Fabric API, Origins, Pehkui, and Extra Origins jars in the server’s
modsdirectory. Keep only one copy of each component. Remove older or duplicate jars before restarting. -
Start and verify the log
Run the same launcher command again. Read the startup log for the first dependency or version error. A successful start should load Fabric and all four mods without a fatal incompatibility message before opening the world.

The precise Java-runtime and Fabric-Loader build combination depends on the deployment environment. Verify that matrix for the operating system and hosting arrangement you choose instead of assuming that every installed Java version is suitable.
Install the matching client files
Yes, players need mods on their computers. Have each player install Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2, a compatible Fabric loader, Fabric API, Origins, Pehkui, and Extra Origins 1.19-2 in the client-side mods directory. The client and server do not have to contain identical files in every modded setup, but this required stack must be present in compatible versions on both sides.

Choose the exact game version
Create or select a Minecraft 1.19.2 installation in the launcher. A 1.19.3 or 1.19.4 client is not a substitute for 1.19.2.

Install Fabric for 1.19.2
Select the Fabric profile that targets 1.19.2. The loader family must match the server’s Fabric setup; a Forge client will not connect to this Fabric server.

Copy compatible mods
Put the same required mod set in the client’s

Connect after the server is ready
Use the server address supplied by the person running the instance. If the connection screen reports a missing dependency, close the game and compare every client jar with the server’s list before changing configuration.
Decide the SMP rules before opening it
Extra Origins changes player abilities, so a short rules decision prevents disputes later. Origins documentation notes that many powers are configurable and that data packs can add new origins. Record your choices before the first permanent world is created.
- Repeated origins: Decide whether several players may select the same origin or whether each origin is unique.
- Changing origins: Decide whether a player may switch after joining, after dying, or only through an administrator.
- Death handling: State whether death causes a temporary penalty, a forced origin change, or no special treatment.
- Nether access: Set expectations for when the Nether opens and how Nether-dependent powers are handled.
- Data packs: List any additional data packs that alter powers, recipes, or origin availability. Test them with the mod set rather than adding them during a live session.
- Administration: Configure the whitelist, operator access, backups, and who can change server files before sharing the address.
What Origins and Extra Origins do
Origins is the foundation: it lets a player choose an origin at the beginning of the game, and that origin grants benefits and drawbacks. Extra Origins adds more choices to that system rather than replacing it. The exact balance can change if configuration files or data packs modify powers.

Explain these trade-offs before players choose. For example, an Inchling’s wall climbing does not cancel its half-health drawback, and Floran’s sunlight or water advantages do not remove its doubled fire damage.

Modrinth publicly lists a hosting product, but the important decision is operational: choose a service that permits a custom Fabric 1.19.2 instance and gives you access to the mod and world files you need. Do not move an existing world until you know how that service handles backups and version changes.

Change one thing at a time and start with the first relevant error in the server log. The following sequence resolves the common Extra Origins failures.

Confirm the Minecraft version
Check the server startup information and every player’s launcher profile. The target is exactly 1.19.2, not 1.19.3, 1.19.4, or an unmodified 1.19 profile.

Confirm Fabric on both sides
Verify that the server was installed with Fabric and that every connecting player launched the Fabric 1.19.2 profile. A different loader family is a compatibility failure, not a configuration setting.

Check the four required components
Make sure Fabric API, Origins, Pehkui, and Extra Origins are all present in compatible versions. Origins is a dependency of Extra Origins; installing Extra Origins alone is not sufficient.

Compare client and server jars
Ask the affected player to list the files in the client

Remove duplicates and newer releases
Delete duplicate jars and files intended for later Minecraft releases. Leaving an old and a new copy together can make the loader select an unintended version.

Read the first dependency error
Later log lines often describe consequences. The first missing dependency or incompatible-version message usually identifies the component that needs replacement.

Test in a temporary world
Create a disposable world and verify that the origin-selection screen appears, powers activate, and any data packs behave as expected. Only then test the permanent SMP world.
Pre-launch and maintenance checklist
- Back up the world folder while the server is stopped.
- Keep a text record of the exact Minecraft, Fabric, Fabric API, Origins, Pehkui, and Extra Origins versions.
- Test at least one origin with a normal player account and one with operator privileges so permission problems are not mistaken for mod problems.
- Check origin selection, origin changes, death rules, Nether access, and every data pack in the temporary world.
- Tell players which loader profile and mod files to install before they attempt to connect.
- After updates, start a copy of the world first and read the complete startup log before replacing the live instance.

These are changing platform counters, not performance, uptime, or quality benchmarks. No independent hardware requirement, uptime figure, or benchmark is established for this server configuration, so size the machine and network for your chosen environment and verify them through a controlled test.

For a reliable 1.19.2 Extra Origins SMP, lock the version first, install Fabric, launch once to generate the server files, stop it, add the four compatible jars, and launch again. Give players the same Minecraft version, Fabric profile, and client mods. Establish origin and administration rules, test the powers and data packs in a temporary world, and use the first dependency error in the log to diagnose any rejection instead of changing several files at once.
