Host ZN Pack Naruto on Minecraft 1.12.2 with Forge. Install a Forge 1.12.2 server in a clean directory, upload the dedicated ZN-PACK-3.5-SERVERPACK.zip, complete the EULA and first startup, then give every player the matching ZN_Pack-3.5.zip client pack. The server and every client must use the same pack and Forge-compatible mod set.
Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
What ZN Pack Naruto is and which files you need
ZN Pack (Naruto) is a CurseForge modpack by Zeefski for Minecraft 1.12.2 and Forge. It is built around the Naruto ShinobiCraft experience and adds convenience, map, storage, quest and multiplayer-oriented mods. The project publishes separate client and server downloads; they are not interchangeable.

The project author makes the distinction explicit: “if ur using a server, use the server pack!” A server pack is a prepared distribution intended to run the modpack in multiplayer, rather than simply copying a player’s client archive into a server folder.
CurseForge’s files page showed 412,710 project downloads in 2026. That number is a changing counter, not a measure of server capacity, performance or support.

Choose self-hosting or managed hosting
You can run the server on a computer or virtual machine you control, or import the official server pack into a managed Minecraft host. The right choice depends on how much control and maintenance you want.
| Decision factor | Self-hosted machine or VM | Managed host |
|---|---|---|
| Initial setup | Install Forge, configure the operating system, networking and backups yourself. | The provider supplies a control panel and Minecraft runtime; you still need to import and configure the pack. |
| File and mod control | Full control over files, configuration, worlds and rollback copies. | Depends on panel permissions and the provider’s support for custom Forge installations. |
| Backups | You choose the schedule, destination and retention. | Backup tools may exist, but frequency, retention and restore controls are not stated in the available listing. |
| RAM, CPU and player capacity | Limited by the hardware or VM you provision. | Allocation and slot limits vary by plan; no verified values are published for this pack. |
| Networking | You handle firewall rules, port forwarding and uptime. | The provider normally supplies public networking, but panel labels and restrictions vary. |
| Geographic latency | Depends on your connection and the machine’s location. | Choose a data-center region that is close to most players, if the provider offers a choice. |
A managed-host listing currently advertises installation of ZN Pack (Naruto) through VeryGames. The available information does not establish its price, RAM or CPU allocation, uptime commitment, player-slot limit, backup policy or commercial terms, so verify those details directly before paying.

- Minecraft 1.12.2 and Forge: The server and all players must target this version. A newer Minecraft release is not a compatible substitute.
- Java: Java is required for modpacks. CurseForge support warns that an outdated Java installation can cause launch failures. Use a current Java runtime supported by your host and compatible with its Forge 1.12.2 installation.
- The official server archive: Download
ZN-PACK-3.5-SERVERPACK.zip, not the client archive. - A clean server directory: Start with an empty directory dedicated to this installation. Mixing files from another modpack can load the wrong mods or configurations.
- Administrative access: You need permission to upload files, select a custom Forge JAR when the panel requires it, start and stop the process, and edit server settings.
- A backup destination: Prepare a separate place for world, configuration and original-archive copies before making changes.
The project does not publish a verified minimum RAM, CPU, bandwidth or player count. Size the machine or plan according to the number of concurrent players, view distance, world-generation activity and the host’s limits, then adjust after observing actual server performance rather than relying on an invented minimum.
Install the Forge 1.12.2 server
1. Create the installation directory
Make a new, empty folder on the computer or create a fresh server instance in your host panel. Do not copy an existing world or another modpack into it yet. Keeping the first installation clean makes it possible to identify whether a later problem comes from the pack or from unrelated files.
2. Install the server-side Forge loader
Use the Forge 1.12.2 server installer supplied by the launcher or hosting provider. Select the new directory as the server location and let the installer create the Forge server files. Provider panels may offer a Forge template instead of an installer; select the template that explicitly targets Minecraft 1.12.2.

Do not select a vanilla 1.12.2 server and assume the mod files will make it a Forge server. The loader must be installed before the pack’s server files are started.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
3. Stop the process before importing the pack
If the installer or panel starts the server automatically, stop it after the Forge files appear. Importing the pack while the process is writing files can leave a partial installation or overwrite files during startup.
Upload and activate the ZN Pack server pack
1. Upload the correct archive
Upload ZN-PACK-3.5-SERVERPACK.zip to the clean server directory and extract it there using the host panel’s file manager or an archive tool. The files should be placed in the directory from which the Forge server starts, not left inside an extra nested folder created by the ZIP extraction.
An earlier official instruction says: “Delete all files on server and just upload this. Make sure to change the JAR type to custom on settings.” Treat the deletion advice as a clean-install procedure, not as permission to erase an established world. Stop the server and make a backup first; then remove only files from the new, disposable directory or from a confirmed replacement installation.
2. Select a custom JAR when the panel requires it
Some managed panels require you to change a server setting from a built-in software choice to a custom JAR so the uploaded Forge files are used. The exact label differs by provider: it may be called JAR type, custom JAR, startup JAR or something similar. Follow the panel’s current terminology and select the Forge server JAR that the installation created. Do not assume every host has the same button or menu.

3. Start once and accept the EULA
Start the server from the panel or the Forge startup process. The first run normally creates the EULA and initial configuration files before stopping or refusing to continue. Open the generated EULA file, read the license terms, set its acceptance value as required, save it, and start the server again.
4. Allow the first complete generation
On the next start, Forge and the included mods generate configuration files, libraries and the world. Leave the process running until the console indicates that startup has completed or the host reports the server as online. The first generation can take longer than subsequent starts because the world and mod data do not exist yet.
Do not change mods, delete configuration files or repeatedly force-stop the process during this run. If the panel reports a crash, save the console output before restarting so you can distinguish a Java, Forge, file-placement or mod error.
Configure access and verify the server
Confirm the process and network path
For self-hosting, make sure the operating-system firewall and router allow the server’s configured game port, and give players the public address they can reach. For a managed host, use the address and port displayed by the provider. The networking steps and panel fields differ by provider, so use its current documentation rather than copying a control path from another host.

Test with a second player
Have another player join from a separate account or network before announcing the server. This can reveal address, firewall or synchronization problems that a local test does not expose. Test entering the world, opening inventories and loading a newly generated area while watching the server console for errors.
Give players the matching client installation
- Give each player the official
ZN_Pack-3.5.zipclient pack. - Have them create or select a Minecraft 1.12.2 Forge profile in their launcher or modpack manager.
- Install the pack through the manager’s import function, or use the manager’s documented ZIP installation flow.
- Launch the profile once offline so its files and configurations are created.
- Use the server address and connect only after the client has completed its first launch.
Every player should use the same release as the server. The project lists ZN_Pack-3.5.zip as the current client release and ZN-PACK-3.5-SERVERPACK.zip as the corresponding server release. Do not add, remove or replace individual mods to solve a connection error unless you have identified the exact compatibility reason; the server and client mod lists and versions are expected to match.
Recognize and fix common connection failures
“Missing mods,” version mismatch or rejected connection
- Confirm that the player used the 3.5 client archive rather than a different release.
- Confirm that the server used the 3.5 server archive rather than the client ZIP.
- Check that both sides are running Minecraft 1.12.2 and Forge, not vanilla or another game version.
- Remove accidental extra mods from the client and restore the official pack if its files were edited.
- Restart both the server and client after correcting files so stale processes do not retain the old mod list.
The server will not start after upload
- Verify that the archive was extracted into the actual server directory and not into a second nested folder.
- Check the panel’s JAR selection. If it requires a custom JAR, select the Forge server JAR created for this installation.
- Check the Java runtime against the host’s supported versions; CurseForge support specifically identifies outdated Java as a source of launch problems.
- Review the first error in the console rather than the final shutdown line. Save the log before attempting another change.
The world stops loading at 0 percent
Zeefski reports that world loading can stop at 0 percent and suggests closing and reopening the game. Treat this as a reported pack issue, not as a guaranteed diagnosis for every installation: first confirm that the server is online and that the client and server packs match, then close and relaunch the affected game. If the problem persists, preserve the world and logs before trying any rollback.
Clicking the quest or factions inventory tab crashes the game
The project author reports crashes when those tabs are clicked and says there is no known fix. Avoid the affected tabs, warn players before they explore the interface, and keep backups so a crash does not become a world-recovery problem. Do not promise that changing Java, reinstalling the pack or deleting configurations will cure this reported limitation.
Backups, updates and rollback
Back up before the first public session
Stop the server cleanly, copy the world directory and configuration files to a separate location, and retain the original ZN-PACK-3.5-SERVERPACK.zip. Keep at least one copy outside the server machine or host account so a failed disk, account problem or mistaken deletion does not remove every copy.
Best Value
- Play and share with friends on console, mobile and Windows 10
- discover community creations in the new in-game store
- access new mini games and game modes through servers
Back up before changing mods or configurations
Make a dated copy before installing an update, changing a configuration, importing a replacement archive or adding a third-party mod. Record which client and server release the copy uses. A backup is useful only when you know which files belong together.

- Stop the server and preserve the current world and logs.
- Restore the previous world and configuration backup into a clean server directory.
- Restore the matching server-pack files from the same release.
- Set the panel back to the correct custom Forge JAR, if applicable.
- Start the server and test with a client using that same release before inviting players back.
Never restore an old world into a new, unverified mod set as a first troubleshooting step. That can create a second problem and make the original failure harder to identify.
How much hardware does ZN Pack need?
No authoritative source in the project information publishes a minimum RAM amount, CPU model, bandwidth requirement or maximum player count. Avoid guides that present a single number as a guaranteed requirement for every ZN Pack server.
Instead, size the host around the conditions that actually change load:
- Concurrent players: More players create more entity, inventory, chat and chunk activity.
- View and simulation distance: Larger distances keep more chunks active and increase memory and CPU work.
- World generation: New exploration is usually heavier than players staying in already generated areas.
- Mod activity: Naruto abilities, quests, storage and other included systems can add periodic work.
- Host limits: A plan’s advertised RAM or CPU may be shared, capped or subject to provider policies.
Begin with a plan or machine you can monitor and upgrade. Watch startup time, tick delays, memory usage and disconnects during a realistic test session, then adjust player limits, distance settings or hardware based on those observations.

Operational checklist for launch day
- Minecraft version is 1.12.2 on the server and every client.
- Forge is installed on the server and selected by the startup process.
ZN-PACK-3.5-SERVERPACK.zipwas used for the server.ZN_Pack-3.5.zipwas distributed to players.- The server directory was clean before installation.
- The EULA was accepted after the first run.
- Java is current and supported by the host’s Forge setup.
- Self-hosted firewall/router rules or managed-host address details have been tested.
- A second player completed a connection test.
- World, configuration and original server-pack backups exist outside the live directory.
- Players have been warned about the reported 0-percent loading issue and quest/factions-tab crashes.
Bottom line
The reliable installation path is deliberately specific: Minecraft 1.12.2, Forge, a clean directory, the official ZN-PACK-3.5-SERVERPACK.zip, a completed EULA and a matching ZN_Pack-3.5.zip client for every player. Managed hosting can reduce operating-system and networking work, while self-hosting gives you deeper control; neither option removes the need to match files, verify Java, test connectivity and maintain backups.
