What each liked-video visibility option means
| Setting | Who can see the liked-video tab | Account availability | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Only you | Only the account owner | Public or private accounts | Hides the liked-video tab from profile visitors |
| Everyone | Anyone who can view the profile | Public accounts only | Shows the liked-video tab according to the profile’s public visibility |
| Followers | Approved followers | Private accounts only | Limits the liked-video tab to followers you have approved |
Are liked videos hidden by default?
Yes. TikTok says liked videos are hidden from your profile by default when you create an account. Check Privacy → Liked videos if you want to confirm or change that setting.

Where to view your own liked videos
To browse videos you have liked, open Profile and tap the Liked videos tab. This tab is where you view the list; its privacy control is separate and is changed through ☰ Menu → Settings and privacy → Privacy → Liked videos.

Why account privacy still matters
The liked-video setting controls the visibility of the liked-video tab, not every aspect of your account. A private TikTok account limits your posts, bio, likes, and follower/following lists to people you approve. With a public account, profile content and likes may be viewable by anyone, and some content can be visible outside TikTok. Set Only you if you want the narrowest audience for liked videos, and review Privacy settings for broader profile protection.

If someone can still see your liked videos
- Reopen Profile → ☰ → Settings and privacy → Privacy → Liked videos and verify that Only you is selected.
- Make sure you changed the setting on the correct TikTok account if you use more than one.
- Update or restart the TikTok app if the menu is missing or appears out of date.
- Remember that hiding the liked-video tab does not remove your likes or make your posts private; those controls are handled separately in TikTok’s privacy settings.
