Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Process a large screenshot job through a paced queue: check the provider’s current allowance, start only the work that fits, and schedule the remainder for the documented reset. When a request fails, distinguish a short-window rate limit from a plan quota ceiling before retrying. These signals and response formats vary by provider; the examples below use ScreenshotOne’s documented behavior and Urlbox’s documented HTTP 429 response.
Build a queue, not a burst
Store each URL and its capture options as a separate job, with a stable identifier and attempt count. A queue lets you pause and resume without losing work, and makes it possible to record the outcome of every capture instead of treating a bulk submission as all-or-nothing.

- Read the provider’s current usage or limit state. For ScreenshotOne, use
concurrency.remainingto cap the number of screenshot requests you start in the current bucket, andconcurrency.resetto determine when to resume. - Start only the allowed number. ScreenshotOne describes these values as starts available in a one-minute request bucket, not as a count of renders currently active. Do not treat
concurrency.remainingas an active-render concurrency limit. See ScreenshotOne’s guide to taking screenshots of multiple URLs and its usage documentation. - Record results per URL. Preserve each item’s success, status, and error details so that failed items can be classified and retried independently.
- Keep unstarted and retryable items queued. If the bucket is exhausted, wait until its reported reset before resuming, rather than immediately resubmitting the same work.
For a small job, an in-process queue with retry and backoff may be sufficient; ScreenshotOne describes this as a starter implementation, not as a universal performance guarantee. If multiple workers share a provider allowance, coordinate them through one shared queue or limiter. ScreenshotOne’s guide names Redis/BullMQ and SQS as options for multi-worker or durable retry workflows.

1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsUnderstand what a bulk endpoint does
A bulk request is a submission format, not a promise of unlimited capacity. ScreenshotOne’s bulk endpoint draws from the same one-minute request bucket as regular screenshot requests. Its bulk requests are lazy-loaded by default: a screenshot is taken when its result URL is downloaded. Set execute: true if captures must run before the bulk response is returned, and allow sufficient time for execution. With executed bulk requests, inspect each item’s status and error details; a successful outer response does not prove that every capture succeeded. See ScreenshotOne’s bulk documentation.

ScreenshotOne documents an optimization option for bulk work when execute: true, but says the optimization is not guaranteed, particularly when a page reload is needed. Measure it on the sites and capture options in your own queue rather than assuming it will reduce time or capacity use.
Classify the refusal before retrying
| Signal | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
concurrency_limit_reached |
ScreenshotOne’s current one-minute request bucket has no remaining starts. Its documented response is HTTP 400, not necessarily HTTP 429. | Keep pending items queued and resume after concurrency.reset. ScreenshotOne’s error guidance points to the usage endpoint and reset value. |
screenshots_limit_reached |
The account’s plan usage quota has been exceeded. Waiting for the short request-bucket reset does not resolve a plan quota ceiling. | Pause the affected queue and check the account’s plan or permitted limit changes before submitting more work. |
| HTTP 429 from Urlbox | Urlbox documents HTTP 429 for too many requests or a rate limit being reached. | Handle according to Urlbox’s current response and limit documentation; do not assume ScreenshotOne’s error code or reset fields apply. |
Sources: ScreenshotOne error documentation and Urlbox API documentation. A provider can use a different status, structured error, and reset mechanism, so build the classifier around the provider actually serving the job.

Make retry ownership explicit
ScreenshotOne says its API does not automatically retry requests, so the integration must decide whether and when to retry. Its options documentation also says failed requests are not counted against rendering quota. That quota statement does not mean every failed request should be retried immediately: first distinguish a transient provider limit from a persistent target-site problem.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- For a short-window limit: defer work until the documented reset; avoid tight loops that repeat the same rejected request.
- For a plan quota ceiling: stop retries until the plan or allowed limit is addressed.
- For a transient failure: apply bounded retries with backoff and retain the attempt count.
- For a repeatable target-site failure: record it as a site or capture failure and avoid retrying indefinitely.
For durable jobs, persist queue state so a process restart does not lose pending work. With several workers, use a shared limiter or queue so each worker does not independently spend the same provider allowance.

Troubleshoot common bulk-job failures
- Every request is refused at once: inspect the structured error and live usage state. If it is
concurrency_limit_reached, pause untilconcurrency.reset; if it isscreenshots_limit_reached, resolve quota or plan settings instead. - The bulk call returns but some URLs have no successful capture: inspect per-item statuses and errors. In ScreenshotOne’s default lazy mode, results are triggered by downloading their result URLs; use
execute: truewhen execution before the bulk response is required. - Retries keep producing the same refusal: check whether the delay actually passed the provider’s reset. For a quota error, a short delay alone will not help.
- Multiple workers exceed the allowance despite local pacing: coordinate all workers against shared state; separate in-memory counters cannot account for requests started by other processes.
- Bulk optimization changes little: it is not guaranteed, and reload-dependent pages can limit its effect. Compare behavior on the target sites and options that matter to the job.
Or skip the browser setup
If you would rather send a URL to a screenshot service than build browser capture infrastructure, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. It removes cookie/consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed. AI agents can use its MCP server, and its free plan includes 1,000 shots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Use your API key in place of YOUR_API_KEY:

Does a bulk screenshot request bypass a provider’s rate limit?
No. A bulk endpoint may count its captures against the same request allowance as individual calls; check the provider’s bulk and limit documentation.

Should I retry a screenshot request that was rejected?
Only after classifying the refusal. Wait for a short-window reset when the provider reports bucket exhaustion; a plan quota error needs a plan or limit change, not repeated retries.
