If bots are spamming your YouTube comments, use YouTube Studio to review held comments, remove or report spam, and hide repeat offenders. If you suspect fake views or subscribers, do not buy engagement or use a viewbotting service: YouTube prohibits artificial engagement and may remove content or penalize a channel.
Review suspicious comments in YouTube Studio

Open YouTube Studio and select Comments.

Open the Held tab. YouTube combines comments held for review with those marked likely spam there. Automatically held comments remain available for up to 60 days.

Check each comment before acting. Automated filters can hold legitimate comments as well as spam.

Use the comment’s action menu to approve it, remove it, report it, or hide the commenter from your channel.

Approving a legitimate held comment makes it visible; removing it takes it out of the conversation. You can also report a comment through its More menu and choose the applicable spam or abuse option.
Choose the right action for the problem

YouTube reviews reports, so do not treat reporting as an instant takedown. When a particular comment or video is the problem, report that item rather than relying only on a channel-level report.

Recognize artificial engagement—and avoid using it
YouTube defines legitimate engagement around real users’ authentic intent. Artificially increasing views, likes, comments, subscribers, or other metrics through automated systems or deceptive methods is prohibited. Examples include viewbotting, sub-for-sub schemes, promoting services that inflate metrics, and knowingly inflating live traffic.
High-volume, repetitive, or deceptive comments can also violate YouTube’s spam rules. The boundary is not ordinary audience encouragement: creators may ask viewers to subscribe, like, share, or comment. The problem is artificial, deceptive, coercive, or otherwise spammy engagement.

YouTube says artificial page traffic will not be counted and can lead to strikes. Policy-violating content may be removed; repeated violations or severe abuse can lead to account or channel termination.

Why subscriber or view counts may change
Counts do not always update in lockstep. YouTube says Analytics subscriber counts can differ from the public count and lag it by approximately 48 hours while additional verification and spam reviews take place. Accounts YouTube terminates and subscribers it identifies as spam do not count toward subscriber or view totals.
