After the opening introduction, you can choose a career from the world map or freeride using the sports wheel. To get comfortable, revisit tutorials at Progress > Learnings, check your own bindings under Options > Controller, then pick an event and finish it to unlock the next event in that career. Look at an event’s side objectives before starting if you want to earn extra stars.
Start with the introduction, then choose what to do
Ubisoft says the Season 7 update shortened the introduction and made careers available after it. Once you have completed that opening, you do not need to unlock a sport or career first: choose a career icon on the world map to enter an event, or use the sports wheel to freeride with available sports. Ubisoft’s Season 7 update describes both routes after the introduction.

Learn and adjust the controls
Replay tutorials
If you have forgotten a move or want an introduction to an activity, open the game menu and go to Progress > Learnings. Ubisoft Help also says the Learnings material can be opened from some in-game menu sections with the Help prompt. Use the tutorial for the sport and activity you are about to try rather than relying on a generic button list.
Check your bindings and choose a preset
Open Options > Controller to inspect or change inputs. Ubisoft documents keyboard-and-mouse rebinding and controller mapping in that area. Controller presets include Racer, Steep, and Trickster; you can customize mappings, too. None is a universal best choice, so check the displayed bindings for your platform and adjust them to suit your preferences.
#1 Best Overall
- Battle against over 50 players simultaneously in a massive multiplayer playground.
- Compete in an all-out mass start race—collide, grind, and fight your way to the finish
- Customize your character to show off your style to your friends or show up the competition.
- Bike, ski, snowboard, or wingsuit through a seamless open world in Career mode or multiplayer events.
- Go wild on the heights of iconic US national parks like Yosemite, Zion, and Bryce Canyon.
Ubisoft’s control guidance does not provide a complete button-by-button chart for every platform, sport, and setup. The in-game Learnings and Controller Mapping screens are the reliable places to confirm the inputs you will use.
Choose a sport by the kind of activity you want
Ubisoft’s career overview names six tracks. They offer a useful starting point for deciding what to try, although the overview is not a guarantee that its list covers every activity currently playable.

- Jump into the riders Republic massive multiplayer playground.
- Meet and compete with other players, ride hard with an exciting range of activities such as bike, ski, snowboard, wingsuit and Rocket wingsuit.
- Create and shape your own rider through evolutive, progression-based gear and define every aspect of your avatar.
- Riders Republic will run at 60 FPS on next gen consoles and display more than 50 players simultaneously live on screen.Make a name for yourself in a variety of sports, rise to the top of the leaderboard in career mode.
| Career track | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Bike Freestyle | Trick-focused events on a bike. |
| Ski Freestyle | Trick-focused events on skis. |
| Bike Racing | Race courses where reaching the finish is the central goal. |
| Ski Racing | Race courses on skis. |
| Wingsuit | Aerial events using wingsuit equipment. |
| Rocket Wingsuit | Aerial events using rocket-wing equipment. |
Ubisoft’s current game overview also describes biking, skiing, snowboarding, wingsuit, and rocket-wing activities. The distinction that helps a new player is the event goal: freestyle is about tricks, racing is about completing a course, and aerial tracks use wingsuit or rocket-wing equipment. Try the activity that sounds appealing rather than treating one track as a required first choice.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesUnderstand gear without overthinking it
Gear has in-game statistics suited to different scenarios. Ubisoft gives the example of a trick-oriented bike versus a faster snowboard for racing: choose equipment that fits the event rather than assuming one item is best everywhere. These are game items, not real-world equipment you need to buy. If you are unsure, compare the event’s demands with the gear stats shown in the game.
Rank #3
- In snow-covered mountains or deep canyons, you can experience the wonderful destinations of American national parks
- Players take their own path in Riders Republic. You will receive new equipment when ascent and can personalise your game character
- Players are offered a wide selection of various multiplayer modes, such as Trick Challenges, multiplayer arenas, online cups and many more
Set a first objective and earn stars
Finish an event to progress
Choose a career event and reach its finish line. Ubisoft’s Season 7 notes say completing an event unlocks the next event in that career, making a finish a straightforward first progression objective.
Check side objectives before you start
Before launching an event, inspect its side objectives in the event screen. Ubisoft’s guidance on stars says completing an event awards a star and completing side objectives can award extra stars. That guidance dates to October 2021, so check the current in-game interface for the reward rules shown for your event.
