Narin can be obtained without spending premium currency. The two free routes are farming Zariman missions for his blueprints, or collecting Entropic Kuva and exchanging it with Cephalon Melica. The Market is the only route that is guaranteed to be quick, and it costs money. Before any free route works, you need access to Yuvan’s Peak, which requires finishing two Zariman quests.
Complete the prerequisites first
Both free routes depend on Zariman content, and Melica’s vendor is locked behind two quests. Digital Extremes’ Update 44 patch notes list the requirements:

- Angels of the Zariman and Whispers in the Walls must both be completed. The official notes make both quests the prerequisite for Yuvan’s Peak and its vendor.
- Once those quests are done, Cephalon Melica can be reached at Yuvan’s Peak, or in the Chrysalith through Fast Travel.
Compare the three ways to get Narin
Digital Extremes names three acquisition routes for Narin: Zariman mission drops, an Entropic Kuva exchange with Melica, and the in-game Market. The Update 44 notes also say Melica’s inventory includes Narin’s main and component blueprints.

Free route one: exchange Entropic Kuva with Melica
This route trades time for certainty. Kuva accumulates across runs, so you are not relying on a single random drop. The official notes describe collecting Entropic Kuva from Entropic Eximus in Zariman missions and exchanging it with Melica for blueprints.

A secondary guide from Orikon, updated September 26, 2026, lists these Kuva costs. The official notes do not state these figures, so confirm them against Melica’s current vendor before you plan a farming session.

No reliable Kuva-per-hour figure is established by the sources. Your speed depends on how many Zariman missions you run and how much Kuva each run yields, so plan around completed runs rather than a fixed number of hours.

Free route two: farm Zariman mission drops
This route is random. Each blueprint has a per-run chance on specific mission and reward tiers. The percentages below come from the Orikon guide, which says they derive from Digital Extremes’ live drop tables. The same guide notes a disagreement over the Main Blueprint rate, so check the official drop table linked from the Update 44 notes before quoting exact figures.

Because these are per-run chances, a streak of unlucky runs is normal. Drop farming suits players who want to play the missions anyway and do not mind an uncertain finish date.

Expect a Foundry wait on every route
Crafting takes time regardless of how you obtained the blueprints. According to the same Orikon guide, each of the three components takes 12 hours in the Foundry, and Narin takes 72 hours after assembly. Starting the three components together means the total Foundry wait is about three and a half days (84 hours). The guide reports these times; they are not confirmed in the official notes.
Paid route: buy Narin from the Market
Digital Extremes confirms that Narin can be purchased in the in-game Market, either individually or as the Narin Bundle. The Update 44 notes do not list a price, so check the current in-game listing before spending premium currency. The Market route is the only one that avoids both farming and drop luck, but it is not free.

Choose the route that fits your situation
- You want certainty and free access: take the Kuva exchange. You spend more farming time, but no drop is required.
- You already run Zariman missions and accept randomness: farm the mission drops for the main and component blueprints.
- You want Narin soon and have premium currency: buy him in the Market after checking the listed price.
- You have not finished the Zariman quests: none of the free routes is open yet. Complete Angels of the Zariman and Whispers in the Walls first.
In every case, budget for the Foundry wait. The sources do not establish a universally fastest farming method, so the quickest option depends on your own run pace and luck.
