How to Get Griffin in Ride A Pet!: Volcano Access, Volcanic Egg, and Hatching

To try for Griffin in Ride A Pet!, travel to Volcano Island, enter the small opening in the volcano’s side, descend to Dragon’s Lair, and bring the Volcanic Egg back to your ranch to hatch it in a nest. Guides report Griffin as a possible hatch, not a guaranteed result; current odds and the egg source have not been confirmed by official game documentation.

How do you get the Griffin?

The guide-reported route is to collect the Volcanic Egg in Dragon’s Lair and hatch it at your ranch. The result is chance-based: an egg can hatch into a pet other than Griffin. The sources consulted do not establish current Griffin odds, and a Griffin reference page records conflicting creator claims about which egg produces it. Treat the Volcanic Egg as the prevailing guide-reported method, not an official guarantee.

How do I get into the volcano?

1. Bring a flying pet. A flying mount is the practical way to travel toward Volcano Island and navigate the volcano route. One guide recommends Phoenix or a better flying pet, but no source establishes a universal minimum mount speed or an official Phoenix requirement.
2. Travel beyond the Desert to Volcano Island. Look for a small opening in the volcano’s side. Descriptions that call it the “right side” can depend on which way your character is facing, so use the opening itself as the landmark.
3. Descend through the passages to Dragon’s Lair. Guides place the Volcanic Egg there. Note the route back out before picking up the egg so you can return with it.

The summit crater is a separate Magma activity; it is not the Dragon’s Lair egg pickup area.

How do you hatch the Volcanic Egg at the ranch?

1. Return to your ranch. The game’s egg loop is to find an egg, return to My Plot, place it in a nest, let it grow, and then hatch it.
2. Place the egg in an available nest. Make sure you have nest capacity before setting out to collect the egg.
3. Let the egg’s ordinary growth finish, then complete the hatch interaction. A beginner guide notes that the game may prompt you to dismount before hatching.
4. Check your Pets list. If the hatch produces Griffin, it should appear there; another pet is also possible.

What to know before making the trip

• Plan the return, not just the entrance. Rehearse or note the route through the passages before collecting the egg.
• Keep the goal clear. For the egg, descend to Dragon’s Lair; do not confuse it with the summit-crater Magma activity.
• Do not rely on unverified numbers. Third-party pages mention a 2.5T egg-luck figure and short timers, but those claims were not verified against official game documentation and may be version-sensitive. Check the current in-game interface rather than treating them as requirements or promises.
• Expect uncertainty. The guides describe the route and the reported Griffin connection, but do not establish current hatch odds or a universal mount-speed threshold.

Ride A Pet Editorial’s beginner guide puts the basic search loop this way: “Start by riding a pet, checking Track, and using a radar to find an egg.”
