They lead to different escape cutscenes, but guides describe the same broad story outcome—Michael gets away—rather than three substantially different endings. You do not need to complete all three to finish the campaign.
How the three routes work
The game’s six-chapter campaign includes a prologue, according to Into Indie Games. The routes described here are ways to escape in the final area, not separate campaign conclusions. A route’s cutscene is the clearest confirmation that it registered; AllThingsHow says players are not required to collect every route to complete the game.

Route prompts may not behave consistently: Into Indie Games cautions that a game update could have changed the behavior observed by its guide. Follow the objective shown in your game when it differs from reported directions; the sources do not identify a specific patch version.
Sewer escape
- Head toward the northern part of the final area and look for the sewer escape prompt.
- Continue west and then north toward the fenced entrance, following the route objective.
- Watch for police officers along the way, reach the sewer entrance, and pry it open to trigger the escape cutscene.
This route is described by Into Indie Games. The practical obstacle is reaching the entrance and interacting with it while avoiding interruption by officers.

- Experience the Ultimate Horror Sandbox: An expansive array of dynamic map features, distinct gameplay systems, life-like NPC interactions, and player abilities elevates the horror sandbox like never before.
- Singleplayer Slashing: Immerse yourself in the haunting narrative events of "The Night He Came Home" through the eyes of Michael Myers in a standalone singleplayer story.
- Elevated Asymmetrical Multiplayer: Cooperate with up to four players as the Heroes of Haddonfield and face off against the one and only Michael Myers in unpredictable multiplayer matches unfolding within a living, breathing game world.
Railroad escape
- Move toward the left, or northwest, side of the final area and follow the escape objective toward the tracks.
- Reach the red-lit trigger area before the train timer runs out.
- If you miss the timing window, the escape may not complete; retry the route and prioritize reaching the trigger promptly.
The timer is the key failure point for this route, as noted by Into Indie Games and AllThingsHow.
Cornfield escape
- Early in the final chapter, head right and slightly north rather than drifting back toward the center.
- Follow the field escape prompt and enter the corn to trigger the route.
These are guide-reported directions, not a confirmed universal trigger. Destructoid says its writer had not personally triggered the cornfield route, and Into Indie Games notes that an update may have affected observed triggers. Give the on-screen prompt priority if it points somewhere else.

Do you need all three routes?
No. AllThingsHow says there is no challenge requiring players to collect all three routes, and any one successful escape can finish the game. If you want to see each variation, replay the final section and use the route prompt for the escape you have not seen; the sources establish different cutscenes, not different broad story outcomes.
