How to choose a character for your team
Use the tier list to narrow your options, then compare what a character actually brings to your team. The source supports considering role and abilities, listed element, team synergy, and the stage of the game you are addressing; it does not provide detailed rankings for individual modes.
Compare abilities, not just tier
Charlotte is described as a damage dealer with area damage, an ability that reduces enemy Earth resistance, and some healing through King Slime. Felino is described as applying a curse that reduces enemy defense and transfers when an enemy dies, as well as bleed damage over time. These examples show why a character’s effects may matter as much as their position in a ranking.

Account for element and team synergy
Consider whether a character’s listed element and abilities complement the companions you already use. The tier-list author specifically notes that A-tier characters can be more reliant on synergy, so a lower-ranked option may still suit a particular team better. The ranking does not establish a universal best team or a mode-by-mode winner.
Consider your progression stage
The tier list describes S-tier allies as performing well through later stages, but that is the author’s broad assessment, not a promise about an individual account. Match the ranking to the stage you are tackling and the gaps in your current team.

How to get Soul Strike companions
Summons and limited-time events are documented ways the game has offered companions. A Com2uS Holdings update about a Hyper Burning event described a seven-day attendance event with a “Master PICK!” random companion summon ticket and a Mythic companion selection ticket; the selection ticket was tied to companions chosen by community voting. That update also described a customizable pickup summon where players selected three desired companions.
These are examples from a dated event, not confirmation that those rewards or summons are live now. Check the in-game event page and official notices for current availability in your region before planning around a banner or reward. The same update described returning collaboration companions, skills, and relics from Zenonia and Summoners War through pickup summons, including Zenonia’s Legrid and Summoners War companions Artamiel, Vanessa, Anabel, and Tiana. It does not establish that those characters can currently be obtained.
