To get an IP address that websites associate with Uzbekistan while you are elsewhere, connect to a VPN provider that currently offers an Uzbekistan endpoint. Install its app, choose Uzbekistan or Tashkent, connect, then check your public IP. This changes your apparent network location; it does not put you physically in Uzbekistan or guarantee that a particular website or streaming service will accept the connection.
What to check before choosing a VPN
VPN location lists and plan terms can change. Confirm that Uzbekistan appears in the provider’s current app or server list before subscribing, and check the terms of any service you intend to use. The providers below advertise Uzbekistan-related locations, but their pages are provider claims—not independent tests of speed, privacy, geolocation accuracy, or streaming access.

A country label does not necessarily mean the VPN hardware is physically in that country. Norton explicitly identifies its Tashkent listing as non-physical; do not assume the same arrangement for another provider without checking its own information.
How to connect to an Uzbekistan VPN server
- Check the current location list. On the provider’s official website or in its app, confirm that Uzbekistan or Tashkent is available on the plan you intend to use.
- Install the official VPN app. Use the provider’s client for your device and sign in. Proton describes apps for major desktop and mobile platforms.
- Select the location. Open the server or location list and choose Uzbekistan; if locations are listed by city, choose Tashkent where available. Proton describes selecting Uzbekistan in its app or server list, while ExpressVPN describes manual selection of Uzbekistan for a Tashkent IP.
- Connect and verify. After the app reports a successful connection, check your public IP with an IP lookup service. If it does not show Uzbekistan, disconnect and reconnect, try another listed Uzbekistan endpoint if available, or contact the VPN provider.
- Check the destination service’s terms. An Uzbekistani-looking IP does not guarantee a website will allow access. Services may also consider account region, payment details, VPN detection, and their current policies.
Using a VPN on a TV or other device without an app
If a device cannot run the VPN provider’s app, a compatible VPN router can route traffic for devices connected through it. That can be useful for a smart TV or other device without a native VPN client, but compatibility depends on the router, firmware, VPN protocol, and provider. Confirm the exact combination before buying; labels such as “smart TV” or “travel router” do not prove compatibility.

Smart DNS Proxy’s support materials include router setup resources, and StreamNeo explains router VPN coverage for devices without individual clients. Those guides do not establish that a specific router works with every VPN service.
Will an Uzbekistan VPN improve streaming or connection speed?
Not necessarily. Routing traffic through a VPN can add latency or reduce throughput, so it is not a default fix for buffering. A VPN may help in a particular routing or privacy situation, but endpoint availability alone does not show that a stream will work smoothly or that a catalog will be accessible.

To troubleshoot, test the same stream with the VPN off and on under similar conditions. If the VPN makes performance worse, try another available endpoint or disconnect. Check the streaming service’s current terms rather than assuming that an advertised VPN location will bypass its restrictions.
Privacy and legal limits
A VPN changes the public IP address websites see, but that alone does not verify your identity or make online activity anonymous. Treat encryption, privacy, and no-logs statements as provider claims unless independently validated. The cited provider pages do not establish a comparative independent audit of the named Uzbekistan endpoints.

A location may be absent from one provider’s list even when another provider advertises it. For example, Smart DNS Proxy’s location list dated March 19, 2024 does not include Uzbekistan. That older list only establishes what that page showed at that time; it does not prove the service never offers an Uzbekistan location.
