How to get each lantern
Cherry Blossom
Pro Game Guides says Kuro sells Cherry Blossom for 2,400 Wen at Bamboo Grove Sanctuary at night, near a gateway by The Serpent King Obari. However, Gamezebo’s September 18, 2026 search-result extract places Kuro in the Mother Bear area at night. Both are reported drops from Ice Chests earned by defeating Reaper Trainee Kuzan. From the Iceveil Valley shrine, head east to Kuzan’s cave. Pro Game Guides reports a 6% chance for Lantern of Despair and 2% for Abyssal; these are secondary-source rates, not independently confirmed odds. Pro Game Guides’ route and drop information.

Emberheart
From the Butterfly Estate shrine, follow the route to the Red Bridge, descend to the ridge, then pass through a waterfall into the cave to reach the Yeti Demon. A Frozen Heart is required to start the fight. Pro Game Guides reports that Frozen Hearts can come from Rare Chests or Sealed Cache Chests, each at a 10% rate, or from the Black Marketer; it reports Emberheart at a 25% Yeti drop chance. These figures are guide-reported.
There is also a stats discrepancy: Gamezebo’s September 18 search extract lists +0.8 Illumination, +45 Max Health, +40 Max Stamina, and additional Technician bonuses. Pro Game Guides’ October 1 table instead lists +0.35 Illumination, +40 Max Health, and +20 Max Stamina, with no class label. The table above follows the dated Pro Game Guides update and does not combine the conflicting sets. For cold-region travel, a community map advises using campfires or Emberheart and says Cold Immunity needs recharging at campfires; treat that as community guidance, not an official mechanics statement. Fujiko’s
Pro Game Guides reports a 1.5% chance from Common Chests. It says those chests are earned by defeating Zuko near Windy Peak or Mother Bear near Bamboo Grove Sanctuary. The percentage is guide-reported. Pro Game Guides’ chest route.

Mushroom Lit: secret quest
- Unequip every lantern, then talk to Old Trapper Retsu and select “Lantern on your belt.”
- Enter Reaper Trainee Kuzan’s cave and quickly step on the glowing mushrooms at the far right.
- Collect the lantern in the cave to the right.
Pro Game Guides warns that the mushroom sequence can reset if you move too slowly and that the quest will not count if a lantern is equipped. Pro Game Guides’ quest steps.
Nichirin
Pro Game Guides reports Nichirin from Ouwigahara dungeon rewards: 5% from Ouwigahara Chests, 5% from Ouwigahara Cache, and 10% from Ouwigahara Deep Cache. It says the dungeon portal is east of Forgotten Plains near the Flame Trainee Boss; a Cache is reportedly awarded every ten floors, while a regular Ouwigahara Chest can be opened for 30,000 dungeon points. Firstlight: schematic and memory puzzle
Firstlight is crafted at Ouwland after you obtain its Schematic. Climb the mountain to the right of The Serpent King Obari, enter the building, and speak with Lamplighter Isamu. Complete five rounds by walking across the plates in the order they light; stepping on the wrong plate resets progress. Double Jump and Wall Climb are recommended to reach the building. Lost
Pro Game Guides reports a 0.9% chance from Lost Chests in Final Selection progression. Its route goes through Mizuto’s quest to an underwater cave where the Lost boss and chests are found. Fishing is also listed as an alternative, but no fishing rate is stated. Pro Game Guides’ Lost Lantern route.

Pro Game Guides reports a 3% chance from World Event Chests and names these boss sources: Gyutai, Domai, Yahari, Sumari, Reaper, Nezura, Enru, Obar, Gyoreii, Saneri, Shinora, Giyen, and Rengu. Pro Game Guides reported on October 1, 2026 that Everburn had no current obtainment method. The page mentions a future method said to have been confirmed by developers on Discord, but does not reproduce a primary-source announcement; there is no substantiated release date or currently actionable route. Which lantern should you pursue?
Choose by build objective rather than rarity alone. For damage, Demonic combines +2 Additional Damage with a 1.015x Additional Damage Factor in the listed stats; Nichirin also has +2 Additional Damage but does not list that multiplier. For blocking, Firstlight is the standout in this inventory because it lists +1.15 Block Points and 1.14x Block Regen. For mobility and stamina recovery, Mushroom Lit lists movement and stamina-regeneration multipliers; Lantern of Despair lists smaller bonuses to both. Abyssal is the only entry listing health regeneration, while Everburn’s reported Cold Immunity is notable if it becomes obtainable. These comparisons use the October 1 Pro Game Guides stat list, not independently verified telemetry.
Acquisition effort is a separate consideration: Cherry Blossom is a reported purchase, Mushroom Lit and Firstlight require a quest or puzzle, Nichirin involves dungeon progression, and several others rely on low-probability chest or boss drops. A higher rarity does not by itself make a lantern the best fit for a particular build.
