Valve’s page says Steam Deck OLED stock may be intermittent in some regions. The official information available does not confirm a general-purpose email or push alert for every restock, so don’t count on a universal “Notify me” option.
How do I get notified when the Steam Deck is back in stock?
- Go to the Steam Deck product page and select the model you want.
- Check the listing while signed in to Steam and confirm availability for your region. Stock can vary by model and location.
- If it is unavailable, check the product page again later or look at Valve’s Certified Refurbished listing. Neither route guarantees that a unit will be available.
Valve’s current product-page information notes intermittent Steam Deck OLED stock in some regions, but does not document a separate opt-in restock alert in the page content reviewed. Store controls can change, so check the live page for your region rather than relying on an alert setting that may not be offered.

Does Steam send an email when the Steam Deck is back in stock?
Valve documented an email for a specific situation: a customer had reserved a Steam Deck and their order was ready. In its October 6, 2022 announcement, Valve said that if demand again exceeded its ability to ship promptly, it could return to reservations; customers would keep their place in line and receive an email when their order was ready. That was a reservation-order update, not a promise of an email for every general restock. Valve’s announcement describes that process.

Valve’s Certified Refurbished Steam Deck page is another official place to check. Valve says refurbished units come from customer returns that meet its criteria; inventory is limited and may fluctuate. Units may have minor cosmetic blemishes. Valve says each passes more than 100 tests at a Valve facility and has the same one-year warranty as a new unit, unless the buyer’s country provides a longer term. Check the live listing for stock, price, condition details, and applicable warranty terms.

Where to check in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong
Valve identifies Komodo as the Steam Deck distribution channel for Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Buyers in those locations should check the relevant official Komodo channel for availability and local terms. Valve’s cited product-page information does not identify Komodo as the seller for other regions.
Can third-party stock alerts help?
Community trackers and retailer notifications may be available, but the official sources cited here do not establish their coverage, accuracy, or alert speed. Treat a third-party alert as a prompt to verify the listing, not proof that stock remains. Before buying from a marketplace, check the seller, whether the unit is new or used, the return terms, and warranty coverage. Availability and price can change before checkout.

ScreenshotNeo: an alternative for developers monitoring a page
ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not a Steam stock-notification service. A developer can use it to capture a page for their own monitoring workflow, but a screenshot alone does not create a restock alert. See ScreenshotNeo and its API documentation.

One GET request captures a page as an image; it does not notify you when Steam Deck stock changes. For example:
