Check whether your account is eligible

- Read the trial and post-trial billing terms on the signup screen.
- Save or note the end date and any renewal amount or frequency displayed.
- If you do not want a paid membership, set a calendar reminder ahead of the displayed end date.
Cancel if you do not want the membership to renew
Use the membership controls in your Amazon account to cancel before the date shown in your offer. Amazon’s Prime page includes cancellation and billing FAQs, but the available page text does not provide a verified button-by-button cancellation path or spell out the effect of cancellation on access. Follow the current prompts in your account rather than relying on an assumed sequence.

Identify an unexpected Amazon charge
An unfamiliar charge may be a Prime membership renewal or a Prime Video subscription renewal. Amazon recommends checking transaction history and subscription details to identify the source. Review the invoice or transaction and the account’s membership and subscription list before deciding which service needs attention.
Prime membership renewal
Check the Prime membership status and billing information in your Amazon account. Compare the charge date with the renewal terms shown when you joined or renewed.

Prime Video channel or add-on subscription
A Prime Video channel or other add-on is separate from Prime membership. It may have its own renewal date: an add-on started around the same time as a Prime free trial can bill on a different day. Check the add-on’s subscription details and invoice individually; do not assume that changing Prime membership also cancels an add-on.

- Check Prime membership and Prime Video subscriptions separately, including their invoices and renewal dates.
- Use the account controls for the specific subscription identified. If the transaction remains unexplained, contact Amazon Customer Service with the charge details.
