How to Generate Website Screenshots from India-Based URLs with Pabbly Connect

Use Pabbly Connect’s HTML to Image action to capture a reachable webpage, with guidance on full-page settings, delays, access restrictions, and India-specific routing limits.

You can use Pabbly Connect to capture a screenshot of a public URL associated with India by adding the HTML to Image integration and choosing its website-screenshot action. The key distinction is that a URL hosted in India is not the same as a page rendered from an Indian IP address: the available documentation does not establish that the screenshot renderer—or Pabbly’s action—uses Indian network egress.

Set up a screenshot workflow in Pabbly Connect

  1. Create a workflow: In Pabbly Connect, configure the trigger event that should start the workflow. Pabbly describes a workflow as a trigger followed by one or more action steps. See Pabbly Connect’s integration listing and its workflow overview.
  2. Add the screenshot action: Add the HTML to Image integration and select the action named “Capture Website Screenshot,” described as capturing a screenshot of a website or webpage from a URL. Check the live action’s available fields, since the integration listing does not specify every field or output name.
  3. Enter the target URL: Map a fully qualified, publicly reachable URL, including its scheme (for example, https://). A hosted renderer cannot capture a page it cannot reach, such as a service available only on your computer at localhost. The screenshot service’s URL-capture documentation describes the URL input and related settings.
  4. Choose the capture dimensions: Set viewport width and height together when using a custom viewport, or select a mobile viewport if you need to see the page as a mobile layout. The service documents mobile emulation separately from custom viewport dimensions.
  5. Choose visible-area or full-page capture: The default capture is the visible viewport. Enable full_screen when you need the full page; the service describes this as scrolling through the page and stitching the result.
  6. Allow time for late content: If JavaScript-rendered content is missing, try the documented ms_delay setting and inspect the resulting image. The necessary wait varies by page; the documentation does not establish one delay that works for every site.
  7. Map the result forward: Connect the action output to a later workflow step, such as storing or sending the image. Confirm the output fields in the live Pabbly action rather than relying on assumed field names.

What “India-based URL” means for the result

If “India-based” means that the URL is associated with India or the site is hosted there, the workflow can capture it provided the renderer can reach it. If you need a screenshot of what a visitor connecting from India sees, you need to verify the renderer’s geographic egress separately. A site may vary language, prices, consent prompts, or other content according to the visitor’s IP address, and the URL itself does not determine that location.

The screenshot service documents proxy routing through an organization’s configured proxy, but the available documentation does not establish an India exit location or show that Pabbly exposes proxy selection in its action. If IP-based geography matters, ask the provider whether an India-located proxy exit is available and whether it can be selected through Pabbly before relying on the capture.

Access restrictions and capture choices

  • Public page: Use the page’s complete public URL. The hosted renderer must be able to reach it.
  • Protected page: The service documents custom headers and configured proxy options. These do not mean that the renderer will perform an interactive login; do not assume a URL alone bypasses authentication or anti-bot controls.
  • Viewport or full page: Use viewport capture for the initially visible area and full-page capture when you need the page beyond the fold.
  • Desktop or mobile: Set custom width and height together for a tailored viewport, or use the documented mobile-emulation option.
  • Immediate capture or delay: Capture without extra delay when the page is ready immediately; use a page-specific delay when content appears late, then review the output.
  • Geographic variation: Treat renderer egress as a separate requirement from URL reachability. General proxy support does not confirm an India route.

Troubleshooting missed or incorrect screenshots

  • The URL cannot be captured: Check that it includes https:// or http:// and is publicly reachable from outside your network. A local-only address such as localhost is not reachable by a hosted renderer.
  • The image shows only the top portion: Enable full_screen if the desired output is the whole page; the default is the visible viewport.
  • Custom dimensions are ignored or invalid: Supply both viewport width and height together, or use the separate mobile-emulation setting.
  • Dynamic content is absent: Increase the documented ms_delay for that page and inspect the result. A delay is a page-specific adjustment, not a guarantee that every script or external resource will finish.
  • A sign-in or bot-check page appears: Verify that the renderer is permitted to reach the content. Custom headers or proxy configuration may be relevant for access-controlled pages, but the service does not automatically complete an interactive login.
  • The page looks different from an Indian visitor’s view: Confirm the renderer’s IP egress location and whether Pabbly can select the required route. India-related domain or hosting does not prove India-based rendering.
  • You cannot map the output to the next step: Inspect the fields exposed by the current Pabbly action and map those live fields; the integration listing does not document exact output-field names.

Or skip the browser setup

ScreenshotNeo offers a one-request screenshot API and an MCP server for AI agents. One GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. Its capture can accept cookie or consent banners and remove more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before taking the shot; those steps can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses include X-Page-Verdict and X-Billed headers. Its MCP tools are take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf. These facts do not establish India-based renderer egress, so verify routing if geographic IP is essential.

Example cURL request (replace the example URL and add your API key):

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month with no card.
