Katalon’s public documentation reviewed as of October 7, 2026, does not document a first-party Allure adapter. A practical route is to use Katalon’s test-listener hooks with a bridge that converts execution events into Allure-compatible results, then run Allure’s report generator on those results. Community posts describe bridges for Allure 2 and Allure 3, but their compatibility and reliability are not established by Katalon’s documentation or independent testing.
What Katalon Studio provides out of the box
Katalon documents JUnit, HTML, PDF, and CSV report outputs, but those built-in formats are not a documented native Allure integration. Its report settings and available layouts depend on Studio version. The report settings documentation, labeled October 2026, describes Studio 11.5.0 and says consolidated HTML is available starting with Studio 11.4.0. See Katalon’s report settings documentation.

That distinction matters: a JUnit report may be useful as a test record, but its existence alone does not establish that it can be supplied directly to Allure as a complete, supported result set. Allure’s Gradle tooling can generate a report from an externally produced raw-results directory; the results still need to be in a format Allure understands. Allure also documents framework-specific Java adapters. See Allure Gradle and Allure’s JUnit 5 integration.

Katalon exposes listener hooks around test-suite and test-case execution. A bridge can observe those lifecycle events, translate relevant execution information into Allure-compatible result files, and optionally add attachments such as screenshots. Allure’s report generator then renders the files from a results directory.
#1 Best Overall
- Observe execution: use Katalon’s test listener hooks to receive suite and case lifecycle events. Katalon documents these hooks in its test listeners and test hooks documentation.
- Translate results: have a bridge map statuses and useful metadata into Allure’s result format. Confirm what it captures; a listener being invoked does not guarantee that steps, retries, labels, screenshots, or suite metadata are represented as needed.
- Generate the report: run the Allure report tooling against the bridge’s results directory. Allure Gradle supports report generation from externally produced raw results, but that does not certify every Katalon-produced file or third-party bridge as compatible.
Katalon’s own Extent Reports guide demonstrates the broader pattern of adding a reporting output through listeners, including suite and case lifecycle setup, custom keywords for logs and screenshots, and opening generated HTML. It is an official custom-report integration, not an Allure adapter. See Katalon’s Extent Reports integration guide.
What the community bridge posts claim—and what they do not prove
Allure 2 bridge
A Katalon Community post dated August 8, 2026 says its author’s Allure 2 bridge uses Katalon’s public Test Listener API and requires no existing test-script changes. The author also says they verified it on Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI. Those are the author’s claims, not an official Katalon compatibility statement or an independent reproduction. See the August 8 community post.
Allure 3 bridge
A separate Katalon Community post dated September 20, 2026 describes an Allure 3 bridge and says installation requires Node.js 18 or newer. That is also a maintainer statement, not a vendor requirement for Katalon Studio generally. Check the project’s primary repository and release information before running an installer. See the September 20 community post.

Treat installation instructions as project-specific and validate them in a disposable branch or non-production pipeline before relying on them.
What to verify before adopting a bridge
Evaluate the bridge against your actual Studio setup and reporting needs. In particular, check:
- Whether the project has an accessible primary repository, recent releases, and a clear maintenance history.
- Which Katalon Studio and Java versions it supports, and whether it targets Allure 2 or Allure 3.
- How it behaves on your operating systems and in your CI runner, including how the results directory is created, retained, and passed to the report generator.
- Whether it captures the details your team depends on: attachments and screenshots, labels, retries, and suite metadata.
- Whether its dependencies conflict with your existing test setup.
- Whether a report-generation error can change the test process exit status or otherwise obscure the actual test outcome.
Run a representative suite, inspect the produced result files and rendered report, and test both passing and failing cases before making the output part of a release gate. No independent comparative results establish how complete or reliable these bridges are across Katalon versions.

| Option | Best fit | Important boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Katalon built-in reports | Ordinary execution records in documented formats: JUnit, HTML, PDF, or CSV. | Layouts and settings are version-sensitive; built-in output is not a documented native Allure adapter. Katalon report settings. |
| Listener-based Allure bridge | Teams that specifically need Allure output and can validate a third-party translator against their own workflow. | Community posts describe bridges, but compatibility, metadata coverage, and maintenance must be verified for the actual project. Allure 2 post; Allure 3 post. |
| Official Extent Reports integration | A custom HTML reporting output using Katalon’s documented plugin and listener approach. | Extent Reports is a different reporting library, not an Allure-compatible output. Katalon Extent Reports guide. |
| Katalon True Platform | Centralized reporting for Studio suites and suite collections alongside supported integrations. | The documented Studio integration automatically uploads test-suite and test-suite-collection reports, not individual test-case reports. Katalon Studio integration documentation. |
If your requirement is specifically an Allure report, a listener-and-bridge architecture is the plausible workaround, subject to validation. If the need is simply readable or centralized execution reporting, built-in reports or a documented alternative may avoid the extra adapter and dependency layer.
