For a Zenless Zone Zero download, update, or installation error, start with the low-risk checks: switch to a stable connection, confirm you have enough free storage, restart your device, and use the official update route for your platform. If that does not work, match the next step to the symptom: stalled or zero-speed downloads need network and resource-data troubleshooting, while PC decompression errors call for a restart, a different drive, or another network.
Start with the safest checks
- Check the connection. Try another Wi-Fi network, connect by cable on PC if possible, or restart your router. Network restrictions can prevent downloads even when other internet use appears normal.
- Check free storage. Leave room for both the game files and temporary decompression. Current published figures vary by date; see HoYoverse’s storage requirements before retrying.
- Restart the device. A restart can clear a temporary launcher, app, or system issue.
- On PC, repair through HoYoPlay. Open the launcher and select Repair Now if the option is available, then reopen HoYoPlay.
- Use an official download or update source. Reinstall only from the official PC site, Apple App Store, or Google Play, as applicable. Avoid third-party installers and repair downloads.
HoYoverse lists unstable connections or network restrictions, firewall or antivirus interference, insufficient storage or system resources, incomplete or corrupted downloads, and outdated system software or drivers among possible causes. If security software appears to be blocking the game, change only the trusted game’s exception settings if you understand the software, and restore your usual protection after diagnosis. On PC, close unused applications and update system software and drivers before another attempt. HoYoverse recommends using the official launcher or the platform’s update tool for Zenless Zone Zero.

If the download is stuck or shows zero speed
- Switch to another network and try the download again.
- If it remains stalled, clear the game’s local resource data. On mobile, use the device’s app storage settings to clear app data. On PC, open the game’s Settings > Download Resources > Delete.
- Restart the download. If it still fails, try downloading on another device.

If HoYoPlay reports a decompression error
For launcher error codes 6011-x-x, 2002-x-x, or 8002-x-x, try these steps one at a time, retrying the launcher after each:

- Change the installation path to a different disk drive.
- Switch to another Wi-Fi network or try a mobile hotspot.

For the older “Failed to unzip files” (2002-0-0) message
A separate release-period FAQ from 2024 recommended an official repair tool, then restarting HoYoPlay and downloading damaged resources again. If the launcher says incorrectly downloaded resources do not exist, that FAQ suggests reinstalling in a new disk partition. Because those instructions date from the 2024 launch period, check current HoYoverse support before relying on the tool or steps: official release FAQ. Do not download repair tools from unofficial sites.

Check requirements and storage before reinstalling
Published storage figures are not consistent across HoYoverse’s dated pages. Treat them as dated guidance, not a guarantee that a particular patch will fit or perform well, and check the live official storage page before clearing space or starting a large download.

The August 2025 minimum-requirements page also lists Windows 10 64-bit or later, DirectX 11.1 or later, a seventh-generation Intel Core i5 or AMD equivalent, 8 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or similar for PC. Its mobile minimums are iPhone XS or later or an iPad with A12 or later and 4 GB RAM on iOS 14 or later; Android lists Snapdragon 855, Dimensity 1200, or Kirin 990, 8 GB RAM, and Android 11 or HarmonyOS 4 or later. These are minimums, not a promise of smooth performance or enough space for every later update. The storage page advises keeping extra room for patches.

The 2024 release FAQ recommended an SSD for PC. Consider one only if your computer supports the drive type and you need more usable storage or want that recommended drive type; it will not fix a network, mobile app-store, or console update problem. The official guidance does not endorse a particular SSD.

When to contact HoYoverse support
If the official steps for your symptom do not work, send Customer Service the details needed to identify the failure:
- Your device model and operating-system version
- A screenshot or screen recording of the error
- When it happened and your region
Include the exact error text or code where possible. That helps distinguish a transfer problem from a launcher, storage, or platform-update failure.
