Start with the exact notice in YouTube Studio or Live Control Room: an account restriction, a copyright match, an OBS stream-key mismatch, and an unstable upload connection need different fixes. The topic alone does not establish which one is affecting your channel, and the reviewed YouTube guidance does not identify a special India-only ban on OBS or prerecorded classes.
Why won’t YouTube accept my OBS stream?
First distinguish a YouTube account or policy restriction from a stream setup or delivery problem. OBS can show that it is sending data without YouTube accepting the stream for broadcast; changing encoder settings will not restore live access if YouTube has restricted the channel.

- Open YouTube Studio or Live Control Room. Read the complete notice and note its date, the affected stream, and any status or appeal option. YouTube’s published eligibility guidance says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Restrictions may follow Community Guidelines or copyright issues. Resolve an active restriction through the channel’s stated process; do not try to get around it by streaming from another channel. - If there is no restriction notice, inspect the rights issue. Review the full class recording, including opening and closing segments, for music, film or TV clips, third-party lectures, and other material you are not authorized to stream. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches; continuing to show matched material can interrupt or terminate the stream. A license by itself may not prevent a live interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID. YouTube’s livestream terms also place responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation and to meet applicable territory requirements. - If YouTube shows no policy or rights issue, verify the stream connection. Check that OBS is using the stream URL and current stream key for the stream selected in Live Control Room, and that the relevant encoder settings match. A stream key functions like a password and an address for the encoder: keep it private. Reset it only if it is compromised or you otherwise need a replacement, then update OBS with the new key. - If the stream connects but drops or struggles, investigate delivery. YouTube says total bitrate should not exceed available upload bandwidth and recommends leaving 20% headroom. Shared networks can constrain one device, and a connectivity disruption can break a stream. Test upload capacity on the actual connection you intend to use, account for other traffic, and watch the Live Control Room preview and stream health. YouTube’s streaming tips.
The notice and stream status are the best clues to which branch applies. Without the channel’s actual Studio notice, account status, rights information, and stream log, the precise cause cannot be determined.

Can I stream a prerecorded class 24/7?
The reviewed YouTube guidance does not establish a general prohibition on a prerecorded class or an OBS encoder stream in India. That does not guarantee approval for a particular account or recording: channel eligibility, rights, stream configuration, and connection quality still matter. Check your own Studio notices and ensure you have the rights needed for the content and relevant territories.

Test the complete setup before relying on it
- In Live Control Room, select the intended stream and confirm its URL, key, and settings.
- In OBS, check that the matching YouTube stream destination and key are configured, then start a short private or unlisted test when appropriate.
- Wait for the Live Control Room preview and check stream health before making the event public.
- Verify that the event can be reached from the channel or watch page and on mobile; monitor audio and video during the test.
- Only return to continuous operation after the test remains stable and you have addressed any policy, rights, or delivery notices.

Will YouTube save a 24/7 livestream?
Do not treat YouTube’s live archive as the only copy of a class recording. YouTube says streams under 12 hours may be automatically archived, while streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. DVR rewind can also be limited or unavailable beyond 12 hours. A continuous 24/7 broadcast exceeds that boundary, so keep an independent recording and use a schedule that meets your archive needs where possible. See YouTube’s archive guidance and DVR guidance.
