Before troubleshooting: confirm your model and back up important data
Samsung’s India support page covers the Galaxy Tab S10 FE model SM-X520 and links manuals and troubleshooting for Wi-Fi, charging and battery, touchscreen response, slow or unresponsive operation, software updates, diagnostics, and factory reset. Follow the instructions for your device and region rather than assuming every Galaxy tablet has the same menus.

Check for an available software update and, where offered, run the relevant Samsung Members diagnostic before escalating. A factory reset is a later option, not a first check: back up data before using it. If the tablet has physical damage or a problem persists after the appropriate checks, contact Samsung support or an authorized repair channel.
Wi-Fi will not connect or keeps dropping
Work from the simplest checks to the more disruptive one. Samsung’s general Galaxy Wi-Fi guidance, linked through the model support page, recommends checking the connection, router, software, and diagnostics.

- Confirm Wi-Fi is switched on, then disconnect from the network and reconnect. Make sure you have the correct password.
- Check whether other devices can connect to the same router. If they cannot, investigate the router or internet connection rather than the tablet first.
- Install any available software update and run Samsung Members diagnostics if available.
- If the problem continues, consider resetting network settings using Samsung’s instructions for your region and software version. This can remove saved network details, so have Wi-Fi passwords available before proceeding.
If the tablet still cannot connect after these checks, use Samsung support rather than guessing at a model-specific menu path.
Tablet charges slowly or does not charge
Use Samsung’s charging guidance for your device and check the connection before concluding that the tablet or battery has failed. The support topics linked from the model page address charging interruptions, cable or port issues, moisture alerts, and debris.

- Try a different working outlet and inspect the cable and charging equipment for visible damage. If possible, test with a known-good, suitable charging setup.
- Check the charging port for visible debris or damage. Do not put metal objects into the port; follow Samsung’s instructions for any cleaning or moisture alert.
- If a moisture warning keeps appearing, the port appears damaged, or charging remains unreliable, stop troubleshooting and seek Samsung service.
The cited support material does not establish a specific charger wattage or what accessories are included with every Tab S10 FE package, so check the local product documentation instead of choosing a charger based on an assumed specification.

Touchscreen misses taps or responds inconsistently
Samsung lists touchscreen guidance for intermittent response, gesture recognition, and touch sensitivity on the model support page. Follow that guide to check settings and possible interference from accessories. If touch problems continue after those checks, or the screen is physically damaged, contact Samsung support; the existence of a troubleshooting guide is not evidence of a model-wide screen defect.

Tablet is slow, frozen, or unresponsive
For sluggish operation or freezes, Samsung’s support topics recommend checking for software updates, closing background apps, freeing memory, restarting the tablet, and using Samsung Members diagnostics where available.
- Restart the tablet if it is responding enough to do so.
- Install available software updates, close apps you are not using, and free memory if storage or memory is low.
- Run Samsung Members diagnostics if available. If the symptoms began after installing a third-party app, consult Samsung’s app-related troubleshooting guidance for slowdowns, freezes, or unwanted ads.
- If the tablet remains unresponsive, contact Samsung support. Consider a factory reset only after backing up your data and following Samsung’s instructions.
A reset is not guaranteed to resolve every cause of poor performance, so persistent symptoms may need diagnosis or repair.

Tab S10 FE S Pen is not recognized: it does not need charging
The Tab S10 FE S Pen does not support charging. Samsung lists the Tab S10 FE S Pen among models that do not support charging in its S Pen battery and troubleshooting guide. A charging indicator or low-battery expectation is therefore not the right way to diagnose this pen.
- Attach the S Pen at its designated spot and check that it is seated and aligned correctly.
- Remove magnetic accessories, especially non-Samsung cases or covers, and test recognition again. Samsung says magnetic contact can interfere with recognition.
- If possible, test another compatible S Pen to help distinguish a pen problem from a tablet problem.
- If the pen is still not recognized, check replacement compatibility or contact Samsung about service.
Do not try to reset the Tab S10 FE S Pen: Samsung says the reset option is unavailable for S Pen models that do not support Air actions, including this tablet’s pen.

When to contact Samsung or arrange repair
Move from self-help to support when there is visible physical damage, a damaged charging port, repeated moisture alerts, or a problem that persists after the relevant checks and diagnostics. For a suspected accessory fault, confirm compatibility before buying a replacement. For a suspected tablet fault, use Samsung’s local support or repair route rather than treating a factory reset as a substitute for diagnosis.
