Quest 3S will not connect to Wi-Fi or keeps disconnecting
Restart the headset, then try connecting it to another Wi-Fi network if one is available. Meta community support recommends holding the headset’s power button for at least 30 seconds for frequent disconnections, and testing another network. If the problem began after a Wi-Fi outage
In a support reply to a case that followed an outage, Meta community support suggested disabling IPv6 in the router settings and turning off the router’s dual-band feature so the headset uses the intended channel. These are targeted suggestions, not universal fixes: router options differ, and the reply does not establish that either setting causes other Wi-Fi problems. If you try them, change one setting at a time and restore it if it makes no difference. The same reply suggested removing unsupported third-party accessories and rebooting. (Meta Community Forums)
If it still will not connect
If the headset fails on more than one network, or the basic checks do not help, contact Meta support. A network test can help narrow the scope, but it does not identify a specific router fault by itself.

Quest 3S controller will not pair, appear, or respond
Meta identifies the controllers included with Quest 3S as Meta Quest Touch Plus controllers. That product detail does not, by itself, provide consumer pairing instructions. (Meta Horizon OS Developers: Controller Input and Tracking)
- Remove unsupported accessories. Take off third-party covers or attachments that could affect battery fit, power, or controller detection.
- Check and clean the controller. Look for debris on the exterior. Meta community support recommends a non-abrasive antibacterial wipe without alcohol; compressed air can be used to dislodge debris.
- Reseat and replace the battery. Remove the battery for 30 seconds, then test with a fresh, compatible battery. The support guidance does not specify battery chemistry or size, so check the controller markings or current product instructions before buying one.
If the controller remains unresponsive or will not pair after these checks, contact Meta support. A new battery is a troubleshooting test, not a guarantee that the controller is working properly. (Meta Community Forums)

Quest 3S headset tracking is lost or unstable
Headset tracking loss is not the same as a controller failing to pair. Meta’s developer documentation discusses controller tracking as a technical input system and notes that signals can be imperfect or inaccurate in some scenarios; it does not establish a consumer procedure for repairing lost headset tracking. If headset tracking continues to fail, contact Meta support for guidance specific to the headset and symptom. The available consumer support information does not establish a reliable tracking-loss sequence, so avoid treating an unverified camera, lighting, boundary, or reset suggestion as a confirmed fix.

Should you factory-reset the Quest 3S?
Do not jump to a factory reset based on the steps above. Meta has an official Help Center article titled “How to factory reset your Meta Quest,” but the current reset sequence and consequences are not established here.
