If MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls feels slow, first check whether it is actually running in slow motion or whether you are having trouble connecting to online modes. On PC, the official support notes identify two specific performance issues to check: unfinished shader warm-up and a display refresh rate below 60 Hz while in-game V-Sync is enabled. Online access problems have different checks: confirm your internet connection and platform account requirements. First, distinguish slow motion from an online connection problem
A game that runs slowly even in an offline mode points to a different symptom than a match or lobby that will not connect. Try observing the game in Training Mode or local Versus, both of which the official FAQ lists as offline modes, then compare what happens online. This is only a way to tell whether the symptom is also present offline; the FAQ does not say this comparison diagnoses a network, controller, or other specific cause.

Let shader warm-up finish
If the game offers shader warm-up when you start the release version, allow it to complete. According to the official PC support notes, the process may take a few minutes depending on the device, and loaded shaders should help the game run more smoothly. Skipping warm-up means shaders load in the background, which can cause temporary lag; elevated CPU use during warm-up should subside afterward.

Check refresh rate and V-Sync together
The official notes describe a particular slow-motion condition: Windows is set to a display refresh rate below 60 Hz, such as 50 Hz or 30 Hz, and the game’s Vertical Sync setting is enabled. In that combination, the game runs at the selected display rate and the entire game can appear to move in slow motion.

- In Windows, open Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and check the selected refresh rate.
- In the game, open Options > Graphics Settings > Vertical Sync and check whether V-Sync is enabled.
- If the display is set below 60 Hz and V-Sync is on, correct that combination: select a suitable available refresh rate or avoid enabling V-Sync with the below-60-Hz setting.
This is a documented slow-motion condition, not a general explanation or guaranteed remedy for every kind of PC input delay.
Check whether the PC meets the listed requirements
The official FAQ warns that a PC below minimum specifications may have performance, graphics, or other technical limitations. The listed specifications are requirements, not a promise that a system meeting them will eliminate input delay.

Before changing network equipment or settings, make sure the platform and account meet the game’s stated online requirements. The official FAQ lists Online Lobby, Room Matches, Ranked and Casual matches, and Player Profile as requiring online access.

Offline options listed in the FAQ are Episode Mode, local Versus, Training Mode, All-Star Arena, and guides. The official FAQ does not provide a title-specific sequence for router resets, DNS changes, port forwarding, wired connections, or internet-speed targets, so those should not be presented as developer-recommended fixes for this game.
PS5 input delay and controller symptoms
PlayStation’s community and support FAQ says PS5-compatible arcade sticks and leverless controllers can be used. It also says button inputs can be customized from Character Select or the Pause Menu. Those are compatibility and customization details, not evidence that a particular controller or remapping will reduce delay. The cited official material does not give a PS5-specific input-lag remedy.

Report a problem that persists
If the documented PC checks do not explain the problem, or online access still fails after you have confirmed the platform requirements, use the official FAQ to reach the Zendesk bug-report form or the game’s Discord bug-report channel. Include the platform, whether the issue occurs offline as well as online, and what you observed; the available support information does not promise a particular cause or fix for every report.
