If the problem persists after these steps, contact Samsung support or arrange service.
Galaxy Buds4 Pro will not connect or pair
Try the quick checks before removing the pairing. Keep the earbuds near the connected phone, tablet, computer, or TV, with a clear path between them. Move away from Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, and other sources of possible interference. Place both buds in their case, make sure they are seated correctly, close the lid, and wait for the case light to go out. Check that the charging contacts are clean and that the buds have power; Samsung’s general Galaxy Buds connection guide suggests charging them for at least 30 minutes when connection trouble continues.

- Restart the connected device, then check for available device software and Galaxy Wearable app updates.
- If the earbuds still do not connect, remove or unpair them in the device’s Bluetooth settings.
- Reconnect through Galaxy Wearable or the device’s normal Bluetooth pairing flow.
Samsung US Support says that “Performing a restart on the earbuds, resetting the Bluetooth connection, or updating the Galaxy Wearable app will normally fix the issue.” This is general Galaxy Buds guidance, not a guarantee specific to Buds4 Pro. No sound, weak sound, or audio dropouts
- Check range and interference: Keep the device and buds close, avoid walls or other obstructions between them, and move away from routers and electrical equipment.
- Check volume and settings: Raise media volume on the connected device and look for separate earbud-volume controls or a media-volume limit. Confirm that sound settings or an app are not reducing or redirecting audio.
- Check battery and openings: Verify the buds have charge. Inspect speaker openings and microphones for debris or damage; clean gently without pushing debris into the mesh.
- Check fit: Reseat the earbuds and make sure the ear tips fit securely. A poor seal can make audio seem weak or unbalanced.
- Restart and update: Restart the connected device and earbuds, then install available updates.

One Galaxy Buds4 Pro earbud is quiet or silent
First check whether the issue follows one earbud or the side of your hearing. Confirm each bud is in the correct ear and seated securely. Try matching ear-tip sizes, inspect the speaker mesh for debris, and check the phone’s left/right sound balance. On many devices, balance is under Settings > Accessibility or a hearing-enhancement setting, but the menu name and location vary by device and software.
Recouple Buds4 Pro earbuds
Samsung’s India support guidance, updated April 24, 2026, specifically identifies Galaxy Buds4 Pro model SM-R640 and gives these recoupling steps:

- Put each earbud in its correct slot in the charging case.
- Open the case.
- Press and hold the connect button on the back of the case for seven seconds.
- If the indicator flashes red, reseat the earbuds and repeat the procedure.

Galaxy Buds4 Pro or case will not charge
Make sure the earbuds are seated correctly in the Buds4 Pro case, then inspect the charging contacts for debris or liquid. Clean and dry the contacts before charging. Use the case supplied for this model: Samsung says Buds4 and Buds4 Pro cases have different shapes and are not compatible with one another.

Try wired charging
- Connect the case to power with an appropriate USB-C cable and approved charging adapter.
- If the indicator does not respond normally, disconnect and reconnect the power cable.
- Inspect the cable, adapter, and case for damage. If possible, try known-good compatible charging accessories.
A computer’s USB port may charge more slowly than a wall adapter. If the case or earbuds are fully depleted, allow time for charging before concluding they are unresponsive. The charger and USB Type-C cable are not included in the US Buds4 Pro package, according to Samsung’s product information. Try wireless charging
The Buds4 Pro case supports wireless charging, but the wireless charging pad is sold separately. Place the case on a compatible pad and check whether charging activity appears. A new cable, adapter, or pad can help when the current charging accessory is faulty or missing; buying accessories will not fix defective earbuds or a defective case.

When to contact Samsung support
Seek support if connection, audio, or charging problems continue after the applicable checks, restarts, and software updates. Service may be needed when an earbud, case, contact, or speaker opening appears damaged, or when the case and earbuds still fail to charge with compatible power accessories.
