That confirms compatibility, not flawless performance on every setup. If controls or performance seem wrong, first determine whether the issue affects the controller or console elsewhere—or only this game—before trying a game-specific fix.
Is FUR Squadron Phoenix compatible with Switch 2?
Nintendo’s Mexican store listing identifies FUR Squadron Phoenix as digital Nintendo Switch software and marks it compatible with Switch 2. Its notice says, “Compatible – El comportamiento del juego es coherente con Nintendo Switch,” meaning the game is compatible and behaves consistently with Nintendo Switch. Why are my controls not working in FUR Squadron Phoenix on Switch 2?
Start by separating a game-only problem from a controller or console problem. Test the controller in the HOME Menu and in another compatible game, then use Nintendo’s built-in controller input test. Note whether the problem involves a particular button or stick, wireless connection, or controls across multiple games.

Why does my Switch 2 controller work in the menu but not in the game?
Check for custom button mapping before assuming the game or controller is faulty. On the HOME Menu, look for a wrench icon beside the active controller: Nintendo uses it to indicate custom mapping. Restore standard button mapping for troubleshooting, and check the game’s own control settings without assuming it has a particular undocumented option.
For Joy-Con 2 stick trouble, verify the controllers register as attached when attached, and remove any controller skins or stick covers while testing. A game may respond differently to an altered mapping even when the controller navigates system menus normally.

How do I update, reconnect, and test the controller?
- Update Switch 2: Install the latest system software available through System Settings.
- Update controllers: In System Settings, open the controller settings and run the controller update function for powered-on controllers. Menu wording can change between system software versions.
- Confirm pairing and charge: For a Pro Controller, Nintendo documents pairing through Controllers → Change Grip and Order; press the SYNC button when prompted. To reset its connection, press SYNC once, then press another button to wake it.
- Test Pro Controller buttons: Open System Settings → Controllers and Sensors → Test Input Devices → Test Controller Buttons. Press each relevant button and move each stick to confirm the console registers the input.
- Check Joy-Con 2 sticks: Follow Nintendo’s calibration and input troubleshooting steps, including checking mapping and attachment status. If a stick remains inaccurate after those checks, Nintendo says service may be needed.
Nintendo’s support pages provide the current instructions for controller testing and service. If the Pro Controller fails its button test, Nintendo says it can inspect and service it; persistent Joy-Con 2 stick problems may also require controller service.
What if the controller works only nearby or when wired?
That pattern can point to wireless conditions rather than a game control setting. As a diagnostic test, bring the console closer to the controller and reduce nearby wireless interference. Nintendo advises against placing the console behind a television, under metal, or within three to four feet of other wireless devices such as wireless speakers or cordless phones. These adjustments help isolate a connection issue but are not a guaranteed fix.

Why does FUR Squadron Phoenix look or feel choppy on Switch 2?
First identify the symptom: uneven motion, slow loading, visual glitches, stutter, or input delay. Confirm the game is fully installed and check for an available update; then restart the game and console and compare with another game. If the controller passes system tests and other games behave normally, record whether the symptom occurs only in FUR Squadron Phoenix.
No official Switch 2 performance notice or developer-published remedy for this title is established here. Nintendo’s compatibility listing is not a performance test. A Reddit commenter in the FUR Squadron community described the game as feeling smooth at 60 fps, but that is one player’s impression—not a measured benchmark or a result every player should expect. When should I contact Nintendo or the game’s publisher?
- Contact Nintendo service if a controller fails Nintendo’s input test or a Joy-Con 2 stick remains inaccurate after the supported checks. For the Joy-Con 2 situations described in its guidance, Nintendo identifies the controller—not the console—as the unit to send for service.
- Contact the game’s publisher or Nintendo if the issue is limited to this game after controller tests, comparison with another game, and checking for an update. Include the game version, Switch 2 system version, controller type, handheld or docked mode, and precise symptom. Use contact details from the official game site or publisher, verifying that they are current.
