If a LambdaTest screenshot is missing styles or shows a fallback font, first check that the job reached the intended page, then inspect stylesheet and font requests and browser-console errors. Next compare browser, version, platform, and viewport. The symptom alone does not prove LambdaTest removed an asset or that your page code is at fault.
1. Confirm the screenshot is reaching the right page
Check the requested URL and the page state when the capture occurs. An unexpected fallback page, incomplete document, or unstyled HTML can mean the job did not reach the application you meant to capture.

If the site runs on a local or development host, verify that the LambdaTest Tunnel is configured to make that site accessible. LambdaTest’s screenshot-testing overview describes tunnel setup for testing locally hosted sites. That overview dates from 2019, so its interface details may have changed; use current product guidance for the exact setup steps.

2. Inspect stylesheet and font requests
For a Playwright run on LambdaTest, enable network and console logging in LT:Options, then review the failing session. LambdaTest’s Playwright execution guidance documents network, console, and video logging as debugging capabilities.

- Look for stylesheet or font requests that failed, returned an unexpected status, or point to an incorrect host.
- Read console errors that appear while the page loads; they may reveal asset access problems or application errors.
- Compare the requested asset URL with the URL that works in your local browser.
These logs help locate the failure; they do not identify one universal cause for missing CSS or fonts. A font that looks like a fallback is a clue to investigate, not proof that its file failed to load.
3. Compare the browser environment systematically
LambdaTest Playwright configuration specifies the browser name, browser version, and platform. Its guidance also describes a default Playwright viewport of 1280×720. Confirm the configuration actually used by the failing run, then compare it with a run that renders correctly.

- Keep the URL, authentication, and page state the same.
- Change one environment variable at a time: browser and version, platform, or viewport.
- Check whether the failed asset or rendering problem follows a particular configuration.
Browser engines and operating systems can render pages differently. The current TestMu AI cross-browser testing knowledge base recommends considering browser, OS, device, and screen size during validation. If only one environment fails, investigate asset access and CSS compatibility in that environment before changing code broadly.

4. Check the page’s CSS compatibility
If the relevant requests succeed but the page still looks wrong, inspect the document and styles themselves. LambdaTest’s older browser-compatibility whitepaper identifies issues such as an incorrect or absent DOCTYPE, missing CSS resets, and vendor-specific CSS as general sources of rendering differences. These are possibilities to check, not evidence that LambdaTest is stripping styles.

- Confirm the document declares the intended DOCTYPE.
- Check whether the page relies on a CSS reset or normalization rules that are absent in the captured build.
- Where vendor-specific CSS is used, verify that an appropriate standard rule is also present.
5. Treat font timing as a workflow-specific question
The reviewed LambdaTest guidance does not establish whether a particular screenshot workflow waits for web fonts to become ready, or document a universal font-readiness setting. Do not assume a specific wait option exists. Check current documentation for the exact LambdaTest product and automation method you use before adding a font wait or changing capture timing.
