First check whether the audio goes out of sync at the same point on another device or browser. If it does, the problem likely lies in the video or stream, and the channel owner should inspect the audio and video tracks. If it happens only on one setup, troubleshoot that app, browser, device, or connection.
Find out whether the problem is the video or your device
Note whether the audio leads or lags, whether the gap grows over time, and the timestamp where you first notice it. Replay that point on another device or browser, if possible. This comparison helps distinguish a problem that follows the video from one limited to your playback setup; it does not by itself identify the cause.

- The same offset appears at the same point elsewhere: tell the channel owner and include the timestamp and whether the audio leads or lags. The source tracks or live broadcast need checking.
- The other setup plays in sync: focus on the original app, browser, device, sound settings, and connection.
- The symptom comes with stuttering or buffering: test a different network and playback quality as diagnostic steps. That symptom alone does not prove the network caused desynchronization.
YouTube’s general playback advice includes restarting and updating the app or browser, checking sound settings, trying another connection, and testing another device: YouTube playback troubleshooting.
If it happens only on one device or browser
- Close and reopen YouTube. On a TV, exit and reopen the YouTube app. On a computer, reload the page or restart the browser.
- Restart the device. This is a reversible check before changing more settings.
- Check sound settings. Confirm the device and app are using the expected audio output and that sound settings have not been changed.
- Update the app, browser, or device software. Then replay the same timestamp to see whether the symptom remains.
- Try a different connection. If playback is stuttering, also test a lower or manually selected video quality. These checks can help isolate playback trouble; they are not a guaranteed audio-sync correction.
- Compare another device or viewing route. For example, use a browser instead of a TV app, or another supported device. If only one setup remains affected, continue troubleshooting that setup or consult its support guidance.
If the offset follows the meditation video or live stream
For a prerecorded upload
The channel owner should compare the source file with the uploaded video and check the duration and alignment of both tracks. YouTube warns that audio and video tracks with different durations may not sync correctly, and advises editing them before upload. See YouTube’s upload audio and video troubleshooting.

YouTube’s recommended upload settings include H.264 video; frame rates of 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, or 60 fps (23.98, 29.97, and 59.94 are also accepted); AAC-LC audio at 128–256 kbps; and a sample rate of 44.1 or 48 kHz. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee that changing a setting will repair every sync problem.
For an actual live broadcast
The channel owner should preview the stream in Live Control Room, monitor audio and video continuously, and check that local archive files remain intact and continue growing. YouTube’s streaming guidance also recommends leaving upload-bandwidth headroom, including 20% room in its general network guidance. These checks can help locate a broadcast problem, but they are not a loop-specific repair. See YouTube streaming tips.

If you are the viewer, send the channel owner the timestamp and a concise description of the offset, plus whether it reproduced on another device. Avoid assuming a codec, buffering, Bluetooth, a speaker, or YouTube’s loop feature is responsible without evidence from the particular setup.

Why a loop-boundary sync fault may need the channel owner
YouTube’s published guidance covers track-duration mismatches, general playback troubleshooting, and live-stream monitoring. It does not specify a guaranteed fix for audio that becomes desynchronized precisely when a sleep meditation loops. Comparing devices and reporting the exact point where the problem begins is therefore the most useful first step; the appropriate fix depends on whether it follows the source or stays with one playback setup.

Sleep Timer does not fix audio sync
YouTube’s Sleep Timer pauses playback after a selected time; it is not an audio-sync control. See YouTube’s Sleep Timer help.
