When AI-generated game code or assets do not work as expected, treat the result as a draft: inspect what changed, run it in the game, identify the specific failure, then make one focused revision. The exact controls differ by engine. Roblox Studio documents a detailed prompt, review, and playtesting workflow; Unity documents in-editor AI assistance for writing and troubleshooting code and creating assets.
Why doesn’t my AI-generated game script work?
Generated code can be incomplete, target the wrong object, or fail to produce the behavior you expected. Roblox’s Assistant documentation explicitly cautions that generated scripts may not function flawlessly. Check the script and its placement before assuming the engine or prompt is the problem.
Check the target, trigger, and intended result
In Roblox Studio, select and name the object the script should affect, then describe both the trigger and the result. Roblox’s tutorial uses a platform named GlitterPart and asks for sparkles when it is touched. Assistant can place a script on the selected object; if nothing is selected, it may infer where the script belongs. Inspect the destination after generation.
- Target: Is the script attached to or referencing the intended object?
- Trigger: Does the event or condition match what should start the behavior?
- Result: Does the code attempt the effect you asked for?
Roblox’s Assistant for Studio guide describes code creation and editing. The AI Assistant tutorial demonstrates specifying an object and behavior.
#1 Best Overall
- WHODUNIT WORD DEDUCTION: Solve the crime by connecting clever word clues to uncover who’s lying and who’s telling the truth. Every round challenges players to think fast, read the room, and catch the culprit.
- SOCIAL BLUFFING & ASSOCIATION: Players create convincing alibis using word associations while one secret criminal tries to blend in. The mix of bluffing and logic creates big laughs and memorable “aha!” moments.
- PERFECT PARTY GAME ENERGY: Designed for 4-8 players, Alibis shines at parties, game nights, and group gatherings. Everyone stays involved through discussion, debate, and accusation from start to finish.
- EASY TO LEARN, FAST TO PLAY: Simple rules get the game started in minutes while still delivering meaningful deduction. With a 20-30 minute playtime, it’s ideal for repeat plays and late-night rounds.
- HIGH REPLAY VALUE & VARIETY: A wide range of scenarios, clues, and word combinations ensure no two games feel the same. Endless variability keeps the mystery fresh and the accusations flying every time.
Inspect the script, then test it
Read the proposed code rather than treating generation as verification. If it is close but wrong, ask Assistant to revise that script or edit it yourself. Playtest the behavior and describe the failure you actually observed—for example, “the platform is touched but no sparkles appear”—instead of asking vaguely to “fix the game.” Knowing enough of the engine’s scripting language to review the result is a useful safeguard.
How do I fix AI-generated game code?
- State the expected behavior. Write down what should happen, to which object, and under what condition.
- Locate the change. Find the generated or edited script and check its target and placement.
- Run the game. Trigger the behavior in a playtest and observe what happens.
- Describe the mismatch. Give the assistant the concrete result and request one narrow correction, or make that change yourself.
- Test again. Confirm the revised behavior and check nearby working features that could have been affected.
Roblox documents a Studio-connected workflow in which a coding client can read the data model, edit and run scripts, and playtest. Its AI on Roblox workflow guide also points to Rojo and Git for file-based version control. A practical way to reduce regressions is to keep a known-working version, change one thing at a time, and test after each change; these habits help you identify what caused a new failure, but do not guarantee that one will be prevented.

Why does my prompt produce inconsistent or unexpected behavior?
Prompt wording and project context affect what the assistant generates. Roblox’s tutorial notes that even slight changes in wording can produce different results. Give the request useful specifics—the object, the trigger, and the desired effect—and change one part of the request at a time. Then compare the output in a playtest. More words are not automatically better; the aim is to remove ambiguity.
For example, “Make this work” leaves the target and desired behavior unclear. Naming the target and saying what should happen when it is touched gives the assistant more useful context. If the result still differs from what you intended, report the observed behavior and refine the request rather than repeating the same broad instruction.

Why does the generated asset look wrong?
For Roblox mesh generation, refine the subject description or use a reference image. The documented workflow supports text or an image reference; a selected Part can provide a boundary for the mesh’s size and location. You can also set a triangle-count limit. The documented default is 10,000 triangles, a product setting that may change—not a quality target or a guarantee of visual fidelity. See Roblox’s Assistant for Studio guide for the current controls.
Use segmentation when you need editable components
Roblox’s mesh segmentation workflow can split generated content into parts so you can adjust materials, attach scripts, or replace components without regenerating the entire model. The documented process lets you edit the prompt, optionally provide a hint image, adjust proposed part names, preview the result, and confirm a selection before inserting it.

- CATCH THE CHAMELEON: A bluffing board game where players must race to catch the chameleon before It's too late
- ONE SECRET WORD: In this board game for adults and family everyone knows the secret word - except for the player with the chameleon card
- DON'T GET CAUGHT: Use hidden codes, carefully chosen words, and a bit of finger-pointing to track down the guilty player... Before the imposter blends in and escapes!
- EASY TO LEARN, QUICK TO PLAY: Like all good family board games, it takes 2 minutes to learn and only 15 minutes to play. Recommended for 3-8 players and ages 12+
- MULTI-AWARD WINNING: "Best Party Game" At UK games expo. "Seal of excellence" From dice tower games. A perfect board game for adults and teenagers
Segmentation is not a universal feature of AI asset tools. Roblox describes imported-mesh segmentation as early preview and says results depend on the source topology. If the proposed breakdown is unsuitable or the imported geometry is malformed, the source mesh may limit the result. Review the proposed parts and names before confirming.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How do I test an AI-generated game?
Test the actual behavior in the game, not just whether the assistant returned code. Roblox’s tutorial presents playtesting as the way to decide whether a generated code sample needs changes.

What should I know about AI-generated content in Roblox games?
Roblox requires generative-AI content in its games to follow Community Standards. For Roblox APIs such as GenerationService and TextGenerator, inputs and outputs go through moderation, including text filtering and image and asset review. Developers using third-party tools remain responsible for content delivered to players and must not bypass required safety measures.
If player interaction can trigger an AI response, Roblox requires disclosure in the Content Maturity questionnaire; extended AI interactions have additional classification requirements. Review the current Roblox generative AI policy, because platform rules can change. Roblox states: “When incorporating generative AI into your games, whether using Roblox-provided models or third-party solutions, you must ensure these integrations remain safe, follow Roblox’s Community Standards, and provide transparency to your users.”
What does Unity’s AI documentation cover?
Unity’s documentation describes in-editor AI assistance for writing and troubleshooting code, as well as AI asset creation from prompts or references. It does not establish the same detailed troubleshooting steps described above for Roblox, so use Unity’s current documentation for the capabilities and controls available in your editor rather than assuming Roblox’s workflow applies. See Unity’s AI documentation for Unity 6.5.
