Browse AI says a robot uses IP addresses from the country where it was created by default; after the robot is trained and approved, you can select a location in its settings. Selecting another country is listed as a Premium-plan feature, and availability may vary for restricted regions. If the location is already right, investigate login state, robot training, and site-side restrictions such as CAPTCHA or unsupported page behavior.
1. Check the robot’s country setting
This is the first thing to verify if the Indian site shows different content by region or behaves as though the request comes from the wrong country. Browse AI says, “Robots use IP addresses from your country automatically.” That describes the robot’s IP location, not a VPN setting on your own computer. - Open the trained, approved robot in Browse AI.
- Open Settings, then scroll to Advanced Options.
- Select the required country and save the setting.
- Run a test task and check whether the page now presents the expected regional content.
Browse AI lists selection of other countries as a Premium feature. Check the current plan details in your account before relying on it; a correctly selected country does not guarantee that a particular site will allow the robot to access it. If you need different locations for different targets, Browse AI recommends separate robots.

2. Identify what failed before changing anything else
Run one test task and record its exact failure message or task log. A CAPTCHA or access-denied page, a login prompt, a timeout, and a robot that no longer finds the right page elements point to different problems. The available information does not identify your target website, account plan, robot location, or task result, so it cannot establish one cause for every Indian-site failure.

- Different regional page: recheck the country setting and plan eligibility.
- Login prompt or post-login failure: update the robot’s session cookies; check whether the site demands MFA or 2FA.
- CAPTCHA or access denied: note the precise challenge and check the site’s compatibility and plan options.
- Timeout or loading change: check whether the site’s structure or loading behavior changed, then retrain and test.
- Missing content inside an embedded frame or scrolling list: check the iframe and virtual-list limitations below.
3. Refresh login state when the site requires authentication
Login sessions expire. For a login-protected page, refresh the session cookies through the robot’s Settings, then run another test task. This may restore access when the stored session is stale, but it will not resolve every authentication flow: Browse AI says MFA and 2FA are unsupported. 4. Retrain the robot after site changes
If the website changed its layout or loading behavior, the robot may still be looking for outdated elements or trying to capture content before it appears. Browse AI recommends retraining a custom robot from its detail page under Settings, then running a test task. Its recovery guidance calls retraining “the most effective solution when website structures change.” If Robot Studio retraining remains stuck, Browse AI suggests trying its Chrome Extension. 5. Check for page features Browse AI documents as limitations
CAPTCHA and bot detection
Strong bot detection and some custom CAPTCHA challenges can prevent access even when the robot’s country is correct. Browse AI’s pricing page describes geolocated residential proxies and automated CAPTCHA solving for blockers, and identifies premium-site tasks as Premium. Those features are not a promise that a specific site or challenge will work. Check the current plan details and ask support about the exact failure rather than assuming a challenge can be bypassed. If the data is inside an iframe, Browse AI suggests finding the iframe’s direct URL and creating a separate robot for that address. Test the direct URL to determine whether the embedded page itself is accessible.

Virtual lists
Browse AI says virtual lists are not currently supported. If the site renders only the visible rows and loads more as the user scrolls, retraining alone may not fix the limitation.
6. When to contact Browse AI support
If the failure persists after the relevant checks, contact Browse AI support with enough detail to investigate the specific case. The vendor recommends support for persistent robot failures, but does not promise every site can be made to work.

- The target URL and the robot’s selected country
- Whether the page requires a login and whether it presents MFA or 2FA
- The exact task failure message or relevant task log
- Whether you saw a CAPTCHA, block page, timeout, or missing page elements
- What you tried: country change, cookie refresh, retraining, or testing an iframe URL
- Your plan, if the issue involves selecting another country or a premium-site feature

Does changing my computer’s VPN change the country Browse AI uses?
The country setting described by Browse AI applies to the robot’s IP location; it is not described as a setting controlled by your computer’s VPN.
Does Browse AI guarantee that a robot set to India can access an Indian website?
No. A location setting does not guarantee access; site security checks, authentication, and unsupported page behavior can still block or limit a robot.
