If you’re trying to pair the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro with a PlayStation over Bluetooth, that connection isn’t supported: the controller uses its included USB receiver for wireless console play. Its Bluetooth feature is for pairing audio devices such as earbuds or a headset. Follow the troubleshooting steps below for the connection you actually need.
First, identify which connection you’re troubleshooting

Nacon states that the controller cannot connect to a console through Bluetooth. Its support FAQ and quick start guide describe the separate audio, receiver-based wireless, and wired paths.

Pair Bluetooth earbuds or a headset
- Place the controller and earbuds or headset near each other.
- Put the earbuds or headset into Bluetooth pairing mode using that device’s instructions.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the controller for six seconds.
- Check the light ring around the right stick. Alternating blue and white flashes indicate the controller is in pairing mode.
- Wait for pairing to complete. The halo ring stops flashing when the device is paired.
For a later connection to the same audio device, hold the controller’s Bluetooth button for three seconds to turn Bluetooth on; Nacon says the device should reconnect automatically. Its instructions do not specify Bluetooth range, codecs, or compatible third-party headset models.
Fix a wireless console connection
Use the dedicated Nacon USB receiver that came with the controller. Nacon says another dongle is not compatible. Check these items in order:

- Charge: Make sure the controller is charged.
- Receiver: Confirm the USB receiver is firmly connected to the console.
- Platform switch: Set the physical switch to the platform you’re using.
- Connection lights: Nacon’s support FAQ says the receiver LED and controller player LED should both be steady.
For PS5 CFI-1000-series consoles specifically, Nacon’s quick start guide recommends inserting the receiver into a front USB port. That recommendation is for this console series; the guide does not generalize it to every PS5 revision. If the dedicated receiver is missing, Nacon’s support page describes replacement availability as forthcoming, so it does not establish that a replacement is currently in stock.
Reconnect using a USB-C cable
- Connect the USB-C cable firmly to the controller and console. The quick start guide documents a wired connection and recommends the supplied cable when charging.
- Set the platform switch to the position for the console you’re using.
- Press the PS button to synchronize or reconnect the controller.
If you switch from wireless to wired mode and see “Controller was disconnected,” press PS to reconnect, as Nacon advises. If the supplied cable is missing or damaged, a suitable USB-C cable is relevant to this wired fallback; buying one will not fix Bluetooth audio pairing.

Check the platform setting on PC
Nacon lists PS5, PS4, and Windows/PC compatibility on its product page. If a PC does not recognize the controller, Nacon’s support FAQ says to set the underside mode switch to the third position, marked PC. The FAQ describes PC game support as XInput-compatible.

Try the rear reset only if needed
If the connection still fails after checking the correct connection method, platform switch, receiver or cable, and LEDs, Nacon’s FAQ says to insert the tip of a paper clip into the reset hole on the back of the controller for several seconds. The instructions do not say whether resetting clears Bluetooth pairings or stored profiles, so check any settings you rely on before using it.

Choosing the right accessory
- Audio pairing: Use Bluetooth earbuds or a Bluetooth headset, but no particular third-party model is verified as compatible in Nacon’s cited instructions.
- Wired console fallback: Check the supplied USB-C cable first; replace it only if it is missing or damaged.
- Wireless console play: The dedicated Nacon receiver is required. A generic USB receiver is not a substitute.
