The free ArcheAge Chronicles demo is scheduled for October 19–26, 2026, as part of Steam Next Fest. XLGAMES says it will be available through Steam and feature selected content in Diamond Shores, including PvP in a publicly released build for the first time. Housing and trade are out, and demo progress will not carry into Early Access. As of October 3, 2026, the demo has not opened.

How do I get the ArcheAge Chronicles demo?
- Open the ArcheAge Chronicles Steam store page during the announced event window.
- Use the demo download option on the page, as directed by XLGAMES’ announcement.
The announcement says Steam users can play, but the official information reviewed does not spell out all possible regional, account, age, or hardware restrictions. Check the store page for the option and any eligibility details when the event begins. [XLGAMES’ Steam announcement]
Is PvP in the demo, and what else is included?

What is excluded?
- Housing and trade: XLGAMES specifically says these systems are not included in the demo.
- Carryover: Demo progress and save data will not carry into Early Access.

Can I play the demo on PlayStation, Xbox, or Epic Games Store?
Steam is the only demo platform confirmed in the announcement. XLGAMES’ official site links the full game to Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, and Xbox wishlist pages, but those links do not confirm that a demo will be offered on those other platforms. How is this different from the September network test?
The October demo is a separate event from the earlier network test. XLGAMES announced that test for Steam users in the United States and Canada, with access by request and random selection; it used limited early-area content in an early development build. The Steam listing describes ArcheAge Chronicles as an online action RPG and lists online PvP and co-op. Its broader planned game context includes systems absent from the demo: in a September 24, 2024, PlayStation Blog post, Executive Producer Yongjin Ham described action combat, raids and cooperative play, exploration, housing, and life skills such as farming, crafting, and trading.
