Angular error NG02800 means your app made a JSONP request without enabling JSONP support in its HttpClient configuration. For a legacy JSONP integration, add withJsonpSupport() to provideHttpClient(), or import HttpClientJsonpModule in the root AppModule for an NgModule-based app. Both JSONP APIs are deprecated as of Angular v22.1; Angular recommends standard HTTP requests with CORS instead. What NG02800 means
NG02800 is a configuration error: the application issued a JSONP request, but JSONP support is not enabled in the Angular HttpClient setup. It does not mean the endpoint returned malformed JSON. Without the JSONP feature, the request reaches the backend with the JSONP method and is rejected. Angular’s error reference and HttpClientJsonpModule API documentation

For an app configured with provideHttpClient(), add withJsonpSupport() to its features:
#1 Best Overall
import { provideHttpClient, withJsonpSupport } from '@angular/common/http';
export const appConfig = {
providers: [provideHttpClient(withJsonpSupport())],
};
Adapt this to the app’s existing configuration rather than adding a second, separate provideHttpClient() call. This is Angular’s documented provider-based remedy. Angular NG02800 reference
NgModule-based bootstrap
For an NgModule-based app, import HttpClientJsonpModule in the root AppModule, as directed by Angular’s error reference. This module is deprecated in current Angular documentation. Angular NG02800 reference · HttpClientJsonpModule API documentation

Should you keep JSONP or migrate?
Angular marks withJsonpSupport(), HttpClientJsonpModule, and HttpClient.jsonp() deprecated since v22.1. Its API documentation warns, “JSONP is deprecated as it can cause XSS vulnerabilities. Use standard HTTP requests instead.” Angular’s current guidance is to prefer standard HTTP requests with CORS when possible. withJsonpSupport API documentation · HttpClientJsonpModule API documentation · HttpClient API documentation

Enabling CORS is not just an Angular client-side setting. A move away from JSONP requires the server and browser request to work with the endpoint and deployment using standard HTTP and CORS. Angular’s recommendation identifies the preferred direction but does not prescribe a complete migration procedure for every server.

Quick decision
- Need to get a legacy JSONP call working: enable the JSONP feature using the option matching the app’s bootstrap style.
- You can change the integration: plan a standard HTTP/CORS approach rather than introducing or expanding a deprecated JSONP dependency.
