Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →If Microsoft Edge repeatedly prompts for your work sign-in, start with the matching Microsoft Entra sign-in event—not by weakening Conditional Access. Its policy result and device details show whether the problem is a blocked policy, an Intune compliance or enrollment gap, the Edge work profile, Windows account integration, or (only in an embedded app) WebView2 networking.
1. Find the failed sign-in and its Conditional Access result
Record the affected user, approximate time, site or resource, device, platform, visible error, and whether the prompt appears in the regular Edge browser or inside another app. If available, keep the correlation ID.

- In the Microsoft Entra admin center, open Monitoring & health > Sign-in logs.
- Filter for the user and time of the failed attempt; use the correlation ID when available. Select the matching event.
- Review the Conditional Access results and troubleshooting details. Note the policy name, result, device assessment, and failure reason.
Microsoft lists codes including 53000 (DeviceNotCompliant), 53001 (DeviceNotDomainJoined), and 53003 (BlockedByConditionalAccess). These identify different conditions; a code is a lead to the failed requirement, not a reason to exempt the user or device automatically. See Microsoft’s Conditional Access sign-in troubleshooting guide.
2. Correct the specific policy or compliance failure
If the event points to device compliance or join state, check the affected device and policy in Intune before changing Conditional Access.

- Built-in AI Companion – Work smarter, create freely, and communicate with confidence—Copilot[5] on Windows 11 is always there to help.
- Confirm the device is enrolled and managed, and that the intended compliance policy is assigned to the right user or device.
- Check the device’s current compliance status and whether the user and device are included or excluded as intended.
- Verify the user has the necessary Intune license and that required configuration is in place.
- If enrollment, assignment, or device settings were just changed, allow compliance evaluation and reporting to finish, then retry and inspect a fresh sign-in event.
Use the event’s named policy and unmet condition to correct scope or configuration. A broad grant requirement for compliant or hybrid-joined devices can block people who do not meet it—including administrators attempting to fix the policy. Keep emergency access accounts excluded from broad Conditional Access enforcement so there is a recovery path. Microsoft’s guides cover Intune Conditional Access troubleshooting and requiring device compliance with Conditional Access.
3. Check Edge’s work profile and Intune app protection
If the sign-in uses Intune app protection (MAM), the browser must be associated with the intended work identity and the user must be in the relevant policy scope. A personal or local Edge profile will not receive the expected work policy.

- With 16 GB of memory, runs as many programs as you want without losing the execution
- The 13.5" 2256 x 1504 screen provides a great movie watching experience
- 512 GB SSD is enough to store your essential documents and files, favorite songs, movies and pictures
- 8 Hours battery run time helps you stay unwired and work longer non-stop
- Confirm Edge is signed in with the intended Entra work account.
- Ask the administrator to verify the user’s app protection and Conditional Access assignments, plus the MAM enrollment state.
- If enrollment is still processing, allow it to complete and retry in a new tab. Microsoft notes that an existing unregistered Edge account can interfere with MAM enrollment.
- Check platform-specific companion-app prerequisites for the configured scenario. Microsoft’s Edge guidance notes Microsoft Authenticator for app-based Conditional Access and Company Portal on Android for app protection enforcement; verify current requirements before installing, removing, or resetting an app.
For the relevant enrollment and policy checks, see Microsoft’s Edge for Business data security troubleshooting.
4. Check Windows and Edge authentication when the evidence points there
On Windows, inspect the browser’s applied sign-in policy and the connected work account. These checks are useful when the Entra event does not explain the repeated prompt or points toward browser or OS account state.

edge://settings/help, install any available Edge update, and restart the browser. - In Windows, open Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and verify the expected organization account is connected.
- If logs or diagnostics point to Windows Account Manager (WAM), Token Broker, or OS account state, follow Microsoft’s account troubleshooting guidance rather than removing the Edge profile casually. Deleting a profile can remove unsynced local favorites, history, and passwords.
For administrator or support escalation, collect the Edge and Windows versions, an error screenshot, exported edge://policy settings, account type, and a network trace from edge://net-export/. edge://identity-internals/ may also help administrators assess account state. Include the request ID and sign-in time and date when opening a Microsoft support case. See Microsoft’s Edge sign-in troubleshooting guide.
5. Investigate WebView2 only for an embedded sign-in window
If the loop occurs inside a separate application rather than a normal Edge window, check whether that application uses WebView2. In that case, proxy routing, TLS inspection, an untrusted interception certificate, or blocked authentication and content-delivery endpoints may disrupt sign-in.

- Check proxy routing and certificate trust for the WebView2 process.
- Verify that required authentication and CDN endpoints are reachable through the organization’s network and security controls.
- Use the application context and diagnostics to confirm this branch applies; WebView2 network issues are not an assumed cause of ordinary Edge sign-in loops.
Microsoft describes these considerations in guidance on preventing security tools from blocking WebView2 apps.
