If the problem is that the game cannot connect rather than start, check current notices on the official AION 2 global site and Steam for maintenance or service announcements. NC’s site states that global service launched on October 5, 2026, but maintenance can still affect access.

- Exit AION 2. If the game is already attempting to start, close it before retrying.
- Run Steam as administrator. Right-click the Steam shortcut or app and choose “Run as administrator.” Approve the Windows prompt if it appears.
- Launch AION 2 again from Steam. If the same error continues, submit a request to NC Customer Service, as NC directs.
This is the official recommendation for that code. Do not assume it will resolve silent exits or unrelated error messages.

Try Steam’s general launch checks for other failures
For a different error or a launch that fails without a message, Steam recommends general troubleshooting for games that do not run after “Preparing to Launch.” These steps can rule out common issues but are not guaranteed to fix every AION 2 crash. Restart the PC and update Windows and drivers
Restart Windows, then install available Windows updates and updates for your computer’s drivers, including the graphics driver. Try launching again after updates finish.
Verify AION 2’s game files
In Steam, open Library, right-click AION 2, and choose Properties. Open Installed Files and select Verify integrity of game files. Wait for Steam to complete the check, then try launching the game.
Close nonessential background software
Exit nonessential applications temporarily and retry the launch. Steam notes that software can interfere with Steam games, but the available guidance does not identify a particular application as the cause of AION 2 launch failures.

If your PC is below a listed requirement, that may be relevant to the failure. The SSD is a recommendation, not a demonstrated fix for account-linking errors or other launch problems.

For persistent error 1138:100134, follow NC’s direction and submit a Customer Service request. For other failures that remain after the general checks, include the exact error (or say that none appears), what happens during launch, and which steps you have already tried. This gives support a clearer description of the issue; it does not guarantee a particular diagnosis or fix.
