If your Samsung Galaxy A13 won’t charge, start by testing a working outlet and a known-good compatible USB-C cable and adapter. 1. Check the outlet, adapter, and cable
A faulty outlet or charging accessory can look like a phone problem. Confirm the outlet works, check the adapter and both ends of the cable for visible damage, and make sure the connections are fully seated. If possible, try a different known-good compatible adapter and USB-C cable. Samsung recommends testing another charger when troubleshooting a Galaxy phone that will not charge.

2. Inspect the USB-C port safely
Turn off the phone and use a flashlight to look inside the charging port. Check for lint, debris, corrosion, bent pins, or other visible damage. Samsung advises removing visible debris carefully; do not put liquid into the port or scrape it with a metal object. Avoid forcing the cable into a connection that feels obstructed or loose.

- If you see corrosion or damage, or the connection is loose, stop trying to charge it and seek service inspection.

3. Restart the phone and allow time for a depleted battery
Samsung’s general Galaxy troubleshooting says to hold the Side and Volume Down buttons until the Samsung logo appears, then connect the phone to a known-good charger and cable. Button behavior and menu labels can vary with model and software, so consult the manual for your exact A13 variant if that sequence does not match your phone.

Leave the phone charging for at least one hour before judging whether it has recovered. When the battery is completely depleted, the charging indicator may take up to ten minutes to appear, according to Samsung Support. Do not assume the phone is unresponsive just because the screen stays dark at first.

4. Let the phone dry or return to normal temperature
Charging may stop if the phone detects moisture or becomes too hot. Disconnect the cable if you see a moisture warning or suspect the port is wet. Let the phone dry in a ventilated area; cool air is appropriate, but do not heat the device or insert anything into the port. If the phone is unusually hot, allow it to return to normal temperature before trying again.
Samsung lists moisture and temperature among conditions that can affect charging. If a warning persists after the phone has had time to dry or cool, do not try to bypass it by forcing a connection.

The symptom alone cannot establish whether the battery, port, or internal charging circuit is at fault. Repair pricing and local service availability depend on the service provider and location.
