Then check the right library view, hidden games, console access settings, and licenses. For add-ons or in-game currency, follow the separate checks below; those items may not appear like a full game.
1. Confirm the purchase on the account that made it
A game missing from a library does not by itself mean the purchase failed. Sign in to the PlayStation account used to buy it, then check transaction history. A different account’s library generally will not show another account’s purchases.

- Online: Sign in to PlayStation.com, open Account Management, and view transaction history. Sony’s online history defaults to the past two years; select a date range to look further back and open a transaction for details.
- PS5: Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Transaction History.
A PS5 family member’s transaction history can be viewed only by the family manager. If you cannot find the transaction or it appears unsuccessful, keep any payment or transaction details and contact PlayStation Support rather than assuming the content should appear on another account.

Purchased content is listed in different places depending on the platform. Follow the matching route:

3. Check hidden games and console access settings
Sony says a game hidden from the library is hidden in the libraries of all consoles. Check the hidden-games list and unhide the item if it is there.
Then check the console’s access setting for the account that owns the purchase:

- PS5: Confirm Console Sharing and Offline Play is enabled if appropriate.
- PS4: Confirm the console is activated as the account’s primary PS4.
4. Restore the game or add-on license
A license issue can prevent purchased content from being located or accessed. Restore licenses using the path for your console:

- PS5: Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses. Alternatively, open the game’s options menu from the home screen or library and select Restore License.
- PS4: Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses > Restore.
PlayStation states: “Please note, restoring licenses won’t affect your data.”

5. If the missing purchase is an add-on, season pass, or currency
Start by confirming its transaction as described above. Then check whether it is a downloadable add-on or an entitlement applied to your account:
- PS5 add-on: Game Library > Your Collection, select the main game, then inspect Add-Ons to see whether the content is downloaded.
- PS4 add-on: Library > Purchased, select the main game, then PlayStation Store > Your Add-Ons.
- Season pass or in-game currency: These may be applied to the account without a separate download. On PS5, check Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Game and App Services. On PS4, check Settings > Account Management > Account Information > Service List.
Some content appears only after reaching a particular checkpoint or location in the game, so check where the game says it should become available. If you use a disc, the disc’s licensed country or region may need to match your account’s region; Sony warns that some add-ons and currency are incompatible when they differ.

6. Contact PlayStation Support if access is still missing
If the transaction is confirmed and these checks do not restore access, contact PlayStation Support. Include:

- The game or content name, platform, and any error code or message.
- A short description of what happens and the steps that reproduce it.
- The date and time you tried to access the content.
- A screenshot or video showing the problem, if possible.
Menu labels and content rules can vary by locale and system software. If a path differs on your console, use the PlayStation Support site for your region.
