Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsIf your phone is slow or warm, start with a restart and check when the problem happens. Close demanding apps, check your connection and battery use, then isolate recently installed apps before considering a reset. Warmth during gaming, video, charging or large transfers can be normal; persistent heat while the phone is idle, repeated overheating warnings or shutdowns deserve closer attention.
The detailed steps below are for Google Pixel phones where noted. Menu names and diagnostics vary by model and operating-system version, so iPhone and other Android users should check their manufacturer’s current instructions for device-specific paths.

First, identify when the slowdown or heat occurs
Note when the symptoms began and what the phone was doing. A phone can feel warm during video, gaming, HD recording, setup, a restore, hotspot use, heavy downloads or uploads, or charging while doing those activities. Google lists these as possible causes of warmth on Pixel phones. If the phone cools after the activity stops, that pattern differs from heat that continues while it is idle.

- Linear damping telescopic clip: easy to adjust, pay attention! Suitable for all types of mobile phones with a width of "6 to 7.5 centimeters". NEVEIKIA mobile phone cooling can cool down when connected to a power source.(Attention: It is best to remove the phone case when using it for a better experience!)
- Quick cooling: Dual engine, cooling principle is the same as a refrigerator, not ordinary fan cooling. It can cool your phone in "3 to 5 seconds", avoiding overheating and ensuring a stable live streaming or gaming experience.
- Dual power supply design: supports powering the radiator through a mobile phone, and can also be connected to an external power source for use; When connected to an external power source, it can provide stable power to both the radiator and the phone, avoiding interruption of heat dissipation due to insufficient power during long-term use and ensuring continuous and stable heat dissipation performance.
- Silent engine cooling: The fan with dual silent design can effectively dissipate air from all directions, providing stronger cooling effect without interfering with your games or Vlog programs.
- Expanded cooling area: Approximately 2.82x1.29 inches of extreme thermal conductivity cooling area, covering the CPU and battery module, protecting your phone from blackening or sudden shutdown.
On a Pixel, excessive heat can reduce CPU performance and charging speed, and may limit camera, connectivity or power functions. The phone may display a warning or shut down to protect itself. Heat can also increase battery drain.
Try low-risk fixes for a slow phone
- Restart the phone. This is a sensible first check before changing settings or removing apps. After restarting, see whether the same slowdown returns.
- Check the connection. If only online tasks are slow, review the phone’s network and connection settings and compare performance on a different reliable connection, if available.
- Close apps you are not using. Then test the phone again. Check after each step so you can tell whether it helped.
- Use Safe mode to check for downloaded apps (Pixel-specific). Safe mode temporarily disables downloaded apps. If the phone works normally there, a downloaded app may be contributing to the problem. Safe mode entry steps differ across Android makers; use your manufacturer’s instructions for your model.
- Remove recent apps one at a time if Safe mode helps. On a Pixel, uninstall recently downloaded apps individually, restarting and checking performance after each removal. This helps identify a possible cause without removing several apps at once.
Google’s Pixel guidance for a slow phone recommends checking whether performance improves after each troubleshooting step. Avoid assuming an app is responsible unless the phone’s behavior or usage information points to it.

Whether gaming, broadcasting live, video conferencing, or vlogging, this compact cooler helps prevent thermal throttling and keeps your device cool and responsive throughout intensive use.
Check battery use and background activity on Pixel
On supported Pixel devices, Battery settings show app-level usage and may offer battery diagnostics. Review whether an app is using substantial battery in the background, then check its settings. Google recommends keeping apps set to “Optimized” rather than changing battery restrictions without a reason. The exact settings and available diagnostics depend on the Pixel model and Android version.

- Stop gaming, recording, hotspot use, large transfers or other demanding tasks and let the phone cool.
- Move it out of direct sunlight, a hot vehicle or an enclosed, poorly ventilated place.
- Lower screen brightness. When practical, use Wi-Fi rather than mobile data.
- For a Pixel, use a cover designed for that exact model.
- If the phone is too hot, disconnect it from power, move it to a cooler place and do not use it until it has cooled. Do not put it in a refrigerator or freezer.
These are among Google’s recommendations for managing Pixel heat. Read the Pixel overheating guidance for its complete advice. If warmth happens only during a demanding task and fades afterward, reduce the workload and monitor the pattern; heat that persists at idle calls for closer investigation.

When to reset or get professional help
A factory reset is a later option, not a first fix. Google warns that resetting a Pixel removes data and uninstalls apps. Back up anything important before proceeding, and follow the manufacturer’s current reset instructions for your model.
Contact the manufacturer or a qualified repair professional if the phone repeatedly overheats or shuts down, stays slow after basic checks, has a damaged enclosure, or appears to have a damaged battery. Google’s Pixel 10 safety guidance recommends professional repair unless you have the technical expertise to repair the device; self-repair can pose electrical, fire, injury and device-damage risks. Do not charge with a damaged cable or adapter, or when moisture is present. Those safety instructions are specific to Pixel 10; check the guidance for other devices.
Google states that Pixel 10 devices work best at an ambient temperature of 32°F to 95°F (0°C to 35°C). This is a Pixel 10 operating range, not a universal temperature limit for phones. See the Pixel 10 Safety & regulatory guide for the model-specific information.
