Identify what is failing
Note what you see and where it happens: no signal, calls or texts failing, 5G not appearing, mobile data not loading, Wi-Fi refusing to join, or Wi-Fi connected with no internet. Also note whether the problem began after a settings or software change. These symptoms point to different checks; for example, a Wi-Fi connection without internet is not the same problem as a phone that cannot join the network.

OPPO Sweden lists ColorOS 16.0, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and supported 5G NR bands, while warning that live-network functions depend on carrier conditions and service deployment. Separate a phone problem from a Wi-Fi or service problem
Compare the same connection in more than one way before changing settings:

- One Wi-Fi network versus another: Try the OPPO on another trusted Wi-Fi network. If it works there but not on the original network, investigate that router or internet service.
- One device versus several: Connect another device to the same Wi-Fi. If several devices cannot get online, the router or internet service is a more likely place to start than the OPPO.
- Wi-Fi versus cellular data: If mobile data works but Wi-Fi does not, focus first on the Wi-Fi network. If both fail, check the phone’s settings and account or service status as well.
- One location versus another: If cellular service changes with location, coverage may be a factor. Check with the carrier about local coverage or an outage.

Fix mobile data or missing 5G
Check the SIM, data line, plan and coverage
- Open Settings and search for SIM or mobile network. Confirm that the intended SIM is active and selected for mobile data, if your phone shows a selection.
- Confirm that mobile data is enabled. Menu names and available options can vary by region and software version.
- Check with your carrier that the account and plan have active service, the SIM is provisioned for the service you expect, and there is no local outage. OPPO’s support information also notes that mobile-data use requires network coverage. OPPO support
- If possible, compare service in another location. A connection that works elsewhere may point to local coverage or deployment rather than a fault with the handset.
Check network mode and APN only where available
Search Settings for preferred network type or access point names (APN). Review the options actually shown on your device; do not assume that a specific menu path or toggle exists on every CPH2931 ColorOS 16 version. OPPO community guidance discusses network-type and APN checks, but its instructions are version-variable and are not confirmed as exact paths for this model and software. If an APN was changed, ask your carrier for the correct settings for your SIM and plan rather than guessing. A different preferred network setting is not universally better: availability and carrier configuration vary. Treat a temporary change as a comparison, and restore the original selection if it does not help.
If 5G is not showing
Not seeing a 5G indicator does not by itself prove that the phone is defective. Check that the carrier offers compatible service at your location, that your plan and SIM are provisioned for it, and that the phone has usable signal there. Fix Wi-Fi that will not connect or has no internet
- Toggle Wi-Fi off and on, then confirm that you are selecting the right network and entering its current password.
- If the phone previously connected but no longer does, forget the network and join it again only if you know the password.
- Test another device on the same router. If multiple devices fail, restart the router and check the internet service. If only the OPPO fails, test it on another trusted Wi-Fi network to narrow the issue to the phone or its settings.
- If other devices work and the OPPO fails on more than one network, restart the phone and continue with handset support if the problem persists.

Restart the phone after checking the relevant settings. Restart the router when the comparison points to a problem affecting its network, especially if other devices also fail.

A network-settings reset may clear saved Wi-Fi or other network settings. The precise reset label and path for the intended regional CPH2931 ColorOS 16 firmware are not established here, so read the on-screen warning before confirming and make sure you have Wi-Fi passwords you may need. Do not use a reset as the first step when a comparison points to a carrier outage or a router problem.

- Contact OPPO or local handset support if the phone continues to fail across networks after basic checks, or if the issue affects cellular and Wi-Fi connections in a way the carrier cannot explain.
