Use the official Post Office Branch Finder: enter a postcode, town or street name, then open a branch result to check its hours and services. Opening times vary by branch and can change, so check the listing for your intended visit before travelling.
Find branches near you
- Open the Post Office Branch Finder.
- Enter a postcode, town or street name. Use the location that best matches where you want to visit.
- Review the results and, if needed, use the service filters to narrow them to what you need.
- Open a branch listing to see its location, opening hours and available services.
Check the hours for the day you plan to visit
Opening hours are specific to each branch; there is no single schedule that applies to every Post Office. Post Office says hours can change and points customers to the Branch Finder for the latest available branch information. Check the listing close to your visit, especially if you are travelling a distance or need to arrive at a particular time. Branch Finder · Post Office branch-change letter

Check that the branch offers the service you need
Do not assume that a nearby branch offers every Post Office service. The finder lets you filter by service, and the individual listing is the place to confirm what is available. Post Office says most branches offer posting to the UK and abroad, everyday banking, and bill payments and top-ups, but availability should be checked branch by branch. Post Office Branch Finder
Carrier services also differ: Post Office says Royal Mail and Parcelforce Worldwide services are available in all branches, while DPD and Evri are available only at selected branches. Compare branches if the nearest one is unsuitable
If several results are practical, compare more than distance. Check each candidate against the visit you have in mind:
- Service: Does the branch handle the transaction or parcel service you need?
- Hours: Is it open at the time you can go, on the day you plan to visit?
- Accessibility: Can you use the branch comfortably?
- Journey: Is the route and travel time convenient?
Post Office’s branch-change information illustrates why this matters: alternative branches can differ in hours, services, access and journey details. Treat any hours in an individual change notice as applying to the named branches and the notice’s context, not as a general schedule. Post Office branch-change letter

If your usual branch is closed or has changed
Search the same area in the Branch Finder and open nearby results to compare their current listings. A branch may close or change its hours, and an alternative may not provide the same services or access. Confirm the details for the branch you choose before setting out. Post Office Branch Finder
