1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo find a competitive price without buying from Amazon, identify the exact product and configuration, compare offers from several retailers, calculate the full cost, and check the seller’s terms. Use comparison tools to discover options, then confirm price, stock, shipping, and policies on the retailer’s own page before ordering.
1. Match the exact product before comparing prices
Write down the manufacturer and model number, then note any details that affect which version you need, such as size, color, capacity, or configuration. A cheaper listing may be for a different variant, so a price comparison is meaningful only when the offers are for the same item.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission recommends comparing product details such as the manufacturer or model number, as well as factors including shipping. See the FTC’s comparison-shopping guidance.

2. Search beyond a single store
Check the manufacturer’s own store, retailers that specialize in the product, and larger retailers that carry it. A price-comparison service can help surface additional offers, but treat its results as a starting point rather than a complete list of every seller.
#1 Best Overall
- Quickly compare price per item on product
- See which item is a better value per unit
- Helps save you money
- Compare prices while your in the aisle at the store
Google says its price-insight assessment uses seller information from across the web, not only offers shown on Google Shopping. That makes it a useful signal about whether a displayed price is typical, but it does not establish that every retailer or offer is included. Read Google’s explanation of price insights.
3. Compare the full cost and the seller’s terms
Do not rank offers by the product price alone. Add shipping and any other charges shown before checkout, then weigh the delivery terms, return policy, and seller reputation. The FTC also recommends checking whether a retailer offers a price match or an adjustment if the item’s price drops after purchase; availability and conditions depend on the retailer.

These are among the comparison factors in the FTC’s U.S. consumer guidance. Consumer protections and retailer policies vary by location; do not assume U.S.-specific guidance applies elsewhere.

If you are not ready to buy, Google Chrome Help describes a Shopping list with price-drop information and notifications. 5. Treat comparison services as discovery tools
ShopSavvy describes a browser extension that compares prices on retailer product pages, as well as comparisons for online and nearby-store prices. Those descriptions come from ShopSavvy; they do not independently establish exhaustive retailer coverage, how results are ranked, or that using the service will save money. You can review the service’s descriptions in its help center and product site.
Google Shopping and ShopSavvy can help you find leads, but neither comparison results nor a price-insight label replace checking the offer directly with the seller.

6. Verify the live offer before ordering
Open the retailer’s product page and confirm that it is the same model and configuration you compared.
