Use separate sources for each measure: the Steelers’ official statistics page for receiving totals, a player-level snap table for offensive snaps and snap share, and player-level targets or game records for red-zone opportunities. Team red-zone totals do not show which tight end was targeted.
Start with the measure you need
- Offensive snaps and snap share: how often a tight end was on the field.
- Targets and target share: how many receiving chances the player received and their share of team targets.
- Red-zone targets: receiving opportunities in a defined area of the field; check whether the source means inside the 20.
- Receptions, yards, and touchdowns: completed results, not a substitute for targets or playing time.
Where to find Steelers tight end statistics
Receiving totals: Steelers.com
The Steelers’ official statistics page provides player receiving totals. Its surfaced 2026 regular-season snapshot lists Pat Freiermuth with 14 receptions, 125 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns; Darnell Washington with nine receptions, 119 yards, and one touchdown; and Robert Tonyan with one reception, two yards, and no receiving touchdowns. These are receiving results, not target totals or red-zone opportunities.

Team red-zone totals: NFL.com
NFL.com’s Steelers statistics page identifies the view as 2026 regular-season statistics. In the surfaced team red-zone passing table, Pittsburgh had 155 pass attempts, 88 completions, 999 passing yards, and seven passing touchdowns. Those are team figures; they cannot tell you which tight end received a target.
Player snaps: Pro-Football-Reference
The surfaced Steelers snap-count table reports offensive, defensive, and special-teams snaps and percentages. It labels snap counts unofficial and says positions reflect those shown in the gamebook. Its 2026 snapshot showed Freiermuth at 186 offensive snaps (68.63%) and Washington at 178 (65.68%). These are time-sensitive season totals; the page was not directly retrievable in the source check, so verify a close comparison against the official NFL gamebook for the relevant game.

Targets and combined views: Footballguys
Footballguys’ team-statistics navigation links to separate Steelers views for season stats, targets, red zone, game logs, snap counts, and depth chart. Treat it as a way to locate complementary tables: the navigation page alone does not establish the definitions or figures in each linked view.
Player red-zone dashboard: Redzone Metrics
The Pat Freiermuth profile on Redzone Metrics combines snap share, target share, and targets inside the 20. Its surfaced 2026 snapshot lists two targets inside the 20 and a 13.3% target share. The site attributes data to nflverse and says its red-zone, fantasy, and projection models are built in-house; treat these as secondary analytics rather than official league findings.

How to compare tight ends fairly
- Match the time window. Compare the same season weeks or the same games across snap, target, and red-zone tables. Season totals from different update points can mislead.
- Separate playing time from opportunity. Snap share describes how often a player was on the field; targets describe receiving chances. A tight end can play extensively without earning many targets.
- Keep team and player red-zone stats distinct. Team attempts, completions, yards, and touchdowns cannot be assigned to an individual tight end without player-level records.
- Check the red-zone definition. “Inside the 20” is used by the surfaced player dashboard, but do not assume all sources define the field or count play types the same way.
- Prioritize primary records for important comparisons. Use Steelers and NFL records or gamebooks where they provide the needed player-level information. Label secondary tables clearly and recheck them as the season changes.
What the current 2026 snapshots suggest—and do not prove
The surfaced Steelers receiving totals favor Freiermuth over Washington in receptions and receiving touchdowns, while their listed offensive snap counts and snap shares are relatively close. Redzone Metrics reports two targets inside the 20 and a 13.3% target share for Freiermuth, but the cited NFL.com red-zone table is team-level and cannot corroborate a player allocation. The figures come from different sources and snapshot views, so they are not a fully synchronized comparison.
