Sonic’s 35th anniversary is in 2026, but there is no single confirmed coupon or discount that works across every platform. Start with SEGA’s anniversary update hub, then check the official store for your console or PC platform. Verify the game edition, regional price and offer end date before buying. Some anniversary rewards are earned by playing rather than redeemed as a store coupon.
How to check and redeem a Sonic anniversary offer
- Check SEGA’s anniversary updates. Visit the official Sonic 35th anniversary page for campaign announcements. Sonic’s 35th anniversary falls in 2026.
- Open your platform’s official store. Search for the specific Sonic game and select the correct platform and edition.
- Check the listing in your region. Confirm the displayed discount, sale end date, digital or physical format, and any included DLC or season pass.
- Verify the checkout total before paying. Store prices and offer windows can change; a past SEGA announcement does not guarantee that its discount is still active.
- Follow the offer’s stated method. A store discount is applied through the store listing, while an in-game event may require playing to earn rewards. The announcements cited here do not establish one universal Sonic coupon code or redemption path.
Where to look on each platform
PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
Open PlayStation Store and check the Sonic title’s listing for your region, edition, current price and offer dates. SEGA included PlayStation Store in an August 2026 sale announcement, but that announcement alone does not confirm a live October offer.

Nintendo Switch
Search the Nintendo eShop for the relevant Sonic game and verify its edition, regional price and sale end date. Nintendo eShop was also named in SEGA’s August 2026 sale notice; the notice is not evidence that a discount remained active on October 4.

Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
Check the current Xbox store listing for the game and your region. SEGA’s October 2026 notice identifies Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as available on Xbox, but does not report an Xbox discount. An Xbox Wire Sonic sale article from 2019 described a promotion that ended June 24, 2019, so it is historical rather than a current offer: Xbox Wire’s 2019 sale announcement.

PC via Steam
Check the Steam listing for the game, edition, regional price and deadline. SEGA’s October 2, 2026 announcement said Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was discounted in the Steam Autumn Sale, but the captured announcement text did not state the exact price or sale end date. SEGA of America’s June 2026 Sonic franchise Steam sale, which offered discounts of up to 90%, ended June 25, 2026; it is not a current deal.
PC via Epic Games Store
Check Epic Games Store directly. Although SEGA lists Epic as a Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds platform, its October sale notice specifically named Steam, not Epic. Do not assume a Steam promotion carries over.

Store offers and in-game rewards are different
SEGA’s October 2 notice also described a Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds event running from October 2, 2026, at 9:00 JST through October 5, 2026, at 8:59 JST. Players earned event points toward game items. Those rewards came from participating in the game; they were not a checkout discount or a store code. Check the official event notice for its details and timing: SEGA’s October 2 announcement.

Related anniversary editions are not automatically offers
A related product is not proof of an anniversary discount. SEGA’s August 2026 announcement noted a physical Sonic Frontiers – Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 scheduled for September 17, 2026, but that fact does not establish a sale or retailer listing. SEGA’s Japanese Sonic Colors: Ultimate 30th Anniversary Package was a 2021 collector edition with an art book, compilation CD and limited collector coin; its Japanese release and yen pricing should not be treated as current global availability.
