During “Inside CEG HQ,” enter 4895 to open the security room. Find and combine both Case Codes fragments, use the stage lectern’s Box IDs and Names document to identify Richard’s box as 36, then enter 486 to open it. Richard’s employee ID, 00007820518, is used at the security computer to print the card that gives elevator access to floor 10.
Which code goes where?
| Number | Purpose |
|---|---|
| 4895 | Opens the security-room keypad. |
| 36 | Richard’s box number. |
| 486 | Opens Richard’s box. |
| 00007820518 | Richard’s employee ID, entered at the security computer to print an elevator access card. |
These are separate steps in the puzzle, not interchangeable codes. The walkthroughs document one intended solution rather than alternate combinations. Townfall Wiki’s CEG Access Card & Elevator Puzzle and the CEG Puzzle Guide both support this sequence.

How to find and open Richard’s box
- Enter the security room. Use 4895 on its keypad.
- Collect both Case Codes fragments. Search the waste bin in the security room and the waste bin in the maintenance room. Combine the fragments in your inventory to complete the box-code grid.
- Check the box list. Read the Box IDs and Names document on the lectern on the stage. It assigns Richard box 36. Use the listed box number rather than relying on a seating position: guide descriptions of the seating directions differ.
- Open box 36. Enter 486, then take Richard’s employee file. Identifying the correct box before entering a code matters; a guide warns that opening an incorrect box can cost health.
How to print the elevator access card
- Return to the security computer with Richard’s employee file.
- Enter his full employee ID: 00007820518. Include every leading zero.
- Collect the printed access card and use it at the CEG elevator to reach the 10th floor.
