Sign in at my.roku.com and open Purchase history and invoices. For subscriptions billed through Roku, also check your Roku subscriptions. The invoice and subscription list can help identify whether a charge is for a streaming service, a Roku product, or another purchase.
Find the charge in your Roku account
- Sign in to my.roku.com using the Roku account associated with the charge.
- Open Purchase history and invoices and review the entries for content or products. Roku says this history can include subscriptions as well as device or product purchases made at roku.com. Roku’s purchase-history instructions
- For a subscription, check my.roku.com/subscriptions for its status and renewal details.
A bank or card statement may identify a Roku-billed charge as “Roku,” “Roku for [provider],” or “The Roku Channel.” Treat the descriptor as a clue and match it to the invoice or subscription in your account.

Who billed you, and who manages the subscription?
Payment processing and subscription management are not always handled by the same company. Use the billing route to decide where to check or request a cancellation.
| Situation | Where to look | Who to contact or use to manage it |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription billed and managed through Roku | Roku purchase history, invoice, and subscriptions page | Use Roku’s subscription controls. On a Roku device, highlight the app, press the Star button, and select Manage subscription when available. Roku subscription-management guidance |
| Disney+, Hulu, or Sling TV billed through Roku | Check Roku purchase history and the subscription list for the charge | Roku says to contact the streaming provider to manage or cancel these subscriptions, even when Roku processes payment. Roku subscription-management guidance |
| Subscription purchased directly from a streaming provider | The provider’s account and billing records; it will not appear in Roku purchase history | Contact the provider that bills the subscription. Roku’s purchase-history instructions |
| Roku device or other product purchase | Purchase history and invoices | Check the invoice for the product and transaction details. Roku’s purchase-history instructions |
For Disney+ or Hulu, an invoice may include a CIB (Customer Identifier for Billing) that the provider can use to locate an account. Roku says this identifier appears on invoices dated September 4, 2026 or later; older invoices may not show it. Roku’s purchase-history instructions

If the charge is unfamiliar or missing
- Check the Roku account linked to the device. If the purchase history is empty or does not match the statement, the device may be linked to another Roku account or email. On the device, go to Settings > System > About to see the linked email address. Roku guidance for unrecognized charges
- Check other household accounts and users. Another email or Roku account may hold the invoice, or someone sharing the device may have made the purchase. Roku guidance for unrecognized charges
- Look for a trial that became paid. Roku says free trials need to be canceled before they end to avoid recurring charges. For Roku Smart Home, Roku’s purchase-history article says a new camera or doorbell setup includes a 14-day Roku Smart Home subscription trial; check the account and current trial details to see whether this applies. Roku’s purchase-history instructions
- Match the descriptor to the responsible company. If the transaction is absent from Roku history, it may be billed directly by a streaming provider. Contact the company named on the statement or check its billing records.
Roku says it does not charge customers for Roku accounts or customer-support services. If an unexplained charge appears in Roku history, contact Roku support; if it appears only on the card statement, contact the company identified by the descriptor. Roku guidance for unrecognized charges
What a $1 pending charge can mean
Roku describes a $1.00 authorization as a check that a payment method is valid, not a purchase. Roku says the card company controls the amount and release timing, and that this hold generally releases within 3 to 5 business days. If it remains or posts as a completed charge, check with your card issuer. Roku’s payment-method guidance Roku guidance for unrecognized charges

Cancel only after identifying the billing route
Roku-managed subscriptions generally renew automatically. Turning off auto-renew stops the next renewal, while access continues through the current billing period. If Roku processes payment for Disney+, Hulu, or Sling TV, Roku says to contact that provider to manage or cancel; subscriptions purchased directly from another provider must also be handled there. A Roku device does not have a recurring ownership fee
Roku says there are no extra monthly or yearly fees simply for owning a Roku device and setting up an account. A recurring charge is therefore for a subscription or another purchase, rather than a device ownership fee. Roku’s payment-method guidance
