Find and download Arcade Archives games through Nintendo eShop on your Switch. Search for the series or a specific game, then check that game’s listing for its console edition, play modes, player count, languages, and compatibility details before purchasing.
Find Arcade Archives in Nintendo eShop
- From the HOME Menu, open Nintendo eShop and select the Nintendo Account user you want to use.
- Select the magnifying-glass icon in the upper-left corner to open Search.
- Enter Arcade Archives to see matching listings, or search for a specific game title. Nintendo’s eShop search can also be narrowed by price range or genre.
- Open a result and review its product page before buying. Check the exact title and console edition, supported play modes, number of players, language information, and any compatibility notes.
- Use the listing to purchase and download the game. Arcade Archives entries are digital releases.
Listings and availability can vary by regional eShop, so search your own store for the current offer and details. Nintendo’s eShop search instructions describe the general process; interface labels can change with software updates.

What to check on a game’s listing
Arcade Archives is a series of classic arcade game releases, but features are not identical across every title. Nintendo’s listings describe adjustable settings such as difficulty, options to recreate arcade display settings, and worldwide high-score competition. Use the specific game page to confirm what applies to that release.
- Game and publisher: The catalog includes different genres and original publishers. Nintendo listings include Ark Area, a UPL shooting game; QUESTER, a NAMCO brick breaker; and PAC & PAL, a NAMCO action game.
- Players and modes: Check how many players are supported and whether the game works in TV, tabletop, and handheld modes. For example, Nintendo’s PAC & PAL listing specifies TV, tabletop, and handheld modes and one to two players on one system; that is not a guarantee for other entries.
- Language and compatibility: Review language information and any notes about the console or accessories. Nintendo notes that Switch Lite compatibility or the play experience may differ, and additional accessories may be required for some software.
- Price and regional availability: These can change and vary by country. Check the current price and whether the game is listed in the eShop region associated with your account.
Check the Switch edition before purchasing
Some games may have separate Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 editions. QUESTER is one documented example: Nintendo says the existing Switch software can also be played on Switch 2, while a separate Switch 2-only release is titled Arcade Archives 2 QUESTER. Nintendo’s listing says that version is not compatible with the Switch version’s save data or additional content. Do not assume another Arcade Archives title follows the same arrangement; check its own product page for edition and save-data information.

Find a game you already bought
If an eShop listing says Purchased, Nintendo says the game was purchased by the Nintendo Account currently accessing eShop. Confirm that you selected the account that bought it, then check the HOME Menu and All Software. If it is not there, follow Nintendo’s instructions for redownloading eShop content, including its virtual game card guidance.
