To see the payment method associated with your U.S. Roku account, sign in at my.roku.com and select Payment methods. Roku’s instructions describe a payment method and its management controls; they do not promise a list of every card you may have used or a wallet of multiple linked cards.
Where to find your Roku payment method
On the Roku website
- Sign in to my.roku.com.
- Select Payment methods.
- Review the payment method and details displayed for your account.
The page is the place to check the payment information currently associated with your account. Roku’s support instructions do not establish that it shows multiple saved cards or a complete card-use history.

On a Roku device
- From the Home screen, go to Settings > Payment method.
- Use the available controls to add or update a payment method.
Roku documents adding and updating from a device, but not removing a payment method there. Roku’s payment-method instructions identify removal as a website-only action.

On the Roku website, open Payment methods and select the three-dot menu beside the displayed method. Choose Edit to update details or Replace payment method to add a new method. The exact controls may change as Roku updates its interface.

To remove the method, use that menu on the website. Roku says the option may be unavailable while active subscriptions billed through Roku remain. Cancel those subscriptions or turn off auto-renew first. After removal, Roku says, “you’ll be prompted to update your payment information the next time you make a purchase.”
Check who bills each subscription before changing payment details
A streaming subscription associated with Roku may be billed by Roku, billed by Roku but managed by the service provider, or billed directly by the provider. That distinction determines where to cancel or turn off renewal. If a subscription does not appear in Roku’s account tools, check the service provider’s account and billing settings rather than assuming it is managed through Roku. Which payment methods are available?
Roku’s U.S. support page lists credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, Cash App Pay, and prepaid gift cards accepted in the applicable region. Availability is not universal: for example, Roku’s Canada page lists different options, including Interac. Check your local Roku account or support page for the methods available where you live.

If a payment method will not work
- Check that the payment details were entered correctly and that the card has not expired or been replaced.
- Try another card or a PayPal account if available.
- Try a different browser. For Apple Pay, Roku specifies Safari.
- If using a Roku device and payment settings cannot load, check the connection at Settings > Network > Check connection.
If you see a $1.00 pending entry
Roku says it may place a temporary authorization hold to confirm that a payment method is valid; it characterizes this as validation, not a completed purchase. Roku Support’s 2026 guidance gives $1.00 USD as an example and says the hold generally releases within 3 to 5 business days. The amount and timing can vary with card-company policies. Protect the account from unwanted purchases
Roku recommends setting a purchase PIN to help prevent unwanted purchases. Follow Roku’s instructions for setting a purchase PIN in your account or device settings.
