Store listings and sales are not available in every market. Pearl Abyss says some regions will not receive the DLC because of content and age-rating review; affected pre-orders are being stopped, with refunds handled according to the platform. Check the publisher’s platform and pre-order announcement and your local listing. The Mac App Store is not included at launch; Pearl Abyss says it will announce separately if a Mac release is planned. See the official DLC page for the publisher’s current product information.
Do you need the base game?
Yes. Charting the Unknown is a separate DLC, not a replacement for Crimson Desert, and the Steam listing explicitly requires the base game. Buy the add-on on the same platform and account where you own the game; purchasing the base game alone does not grant the DLC.

- Confirm you are signed into the account that purchased the DLC and owns the base game.
- Check that the base game and DLC are for the same platform and regional store.
- Look in the game’s add-on management controls and verify the DLC is installed or enabled.
