After installing Windows on an AVITA Altum, run Windows Update first, then use Device Manager to identify any hardware that still lacks a driver. If Windows cannot find the right driver, install one only from AVITA or the relevant component manufacturer, and verify it matches your exact laptop model and Windows version and architecture. AVITA-specific drivers for Altum were not confirmed on the official support pages checked, so do not assume a package or model-specific download page exists.
How do I find AVITA Altum drivers after installing Windows?
- Connect to the internet and run Windows Update. Windows Update automatically supplies drivers for most hardware. Microsoft calls it the best way to get driver updates: Update drivers through Device Manager in Windows.
- Check Device Manager. Open Device Manager, expand the relevant categories, and look for devices with warning indicators or missing drivers. The affected device may appear under a category such as Other devices.
- Try an automatic search. In Device Manager, right-click the affected device, select Update driver, then choose the automatic search option. If no driver is found, return to Windows Update and check for available optional or recommended driver updates.
- Install a verified driver manually if needed. Locate a driver from AVITA or the relevant component manufacturer, checking that it is intended for your exact model and installed Windows version and architecture. Extract the download if necessary. In Device Manager, select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers, then choose the extracted driver folder.
- Restart if appropriate and check Device Manager again. Confirm whether the warning indicator has cleared and the device is recognized.
Where can I download AVITA Altum drivers?
Start at AVITA’s official support site for the region where the laptop is supported, and look for material that matches the complete model identifier. The AVITA official pages checked did not confirm an Altum-specific driver bundle or download page. That is a limited finding about those pages, not proof that no package exists.

If you cannot find an official model-specific package, contact AVITA support for your region rather than downloading a driver from an unrelated site. AVITA’s Hong Kong support page says laptop technical support and maintenance have been handled by its in-house engineer and customer-service team since 2022-08-09, and lists contacts for Hong Kong and Taiwan: AVITA Hong Kong support. Use the relevant regional support channel; those contacts may not apply elsewhere.

What should I do if Windows Update does not install my laptop drivers?
- In Device Manager, note the exact device name and its hardware ID. To find the ID, open the device’s Properties, select the Details tab, and choose Hardware Ids from the property list. Give those details and the laptop’s complete model identifier to AVITA support.
- Check the component manufacturer’s official site only when you can confidently identify the component and find a package for the installed Windows version and architecture.
- Avoid third-party driver-download sites and generic driver utilities. Microsoft specifically advises: “Avoid downloading drivers from any websites other than the manufacturer’s official site.”
- If a manual installation does not resolve the issue, stop before trying packages for a different model or Windows architecture; ask the manufacturer to confirm the correct driver.
Automatic search or manual installation: which route should you use?

Microsoft documents both routes and recommends Windows Update for most driver updates. Its instructions are in Update drivers through Device Manager in Windows.
