To check for Fortnite bounty quests, open Quests from the lobby after choosing the Fortnite experience you want to play. Bounty quests and bounty-board locations are not confirmed as available in the current Battle Royale season, so rely on the quests shown in-game—not old map guides.
Check whether bounty quests are available now
- Launch the Fortnite experience you plan to play.
- From the lobby, open Quests and review the tasks listed for that experience.
- If a bounty quest appears, follow its displayed objective and any in-game directions. If none appears, current bounty availability and board locations are not established by the available current guidance; do not treat historical locations as a live route.
Epic says quest sets differ by experience. Its quest instructions list experiences including Rocket Racing, LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, and Fortnite Festival. The tasks shown for one experience may therefore differ from those shown for another.

What historical Fortnite bounties involved
Epic’s December 2, 2020 Chapter 2 Season 5 announcement describes a past bounty system offered by some characters and static boards. A player and their party could accept a timed task to hunt another player. Hunters received a map hint to the target’s last known location; the hunted player could use a tracking meter to gauge how close the hunters were and try to survive until the bounty ended. Epic said the party received Bars if the target was eliminated or eluded capture. Those details describe Season 5 and do not confirm that the mechanic is active now.

Why old bounty-board maps can mislead
A PC Gamer guide published October 27, 2021 covers Chapter 2 Season 8 and names locations such as Boney Burbs, Believer Beach, Catty Corner, and Weeping Woods. These are Season 8-era references, not verified current board locations. The guide also distinguishes war-effort boards from bounty boards, but that distinction is historical too. Use the current map and Quests interface rather than following those coordinates.

Epic’s XP guidance says XP earned in any Fortnite experience advances active passes simultaneously. Daily quests reset each day, while weekly quests refresh every Tuesday. These are general quest and progression details; they do not indicate that a bounty quest is currently offered.
