Use the Google Home app: select the room and TV, open the TV’s settings, choose Find my remote, then tap Play sound. The paired Voice Remote will chime for 30 seconds. It must be paired with the Google TV Streamer for this feature to work.
Make the remote ring from Google Home

Open the Google Home app on your phone and go to the room where the TV is set up.

Select the Google TV Streamer’s TV device, then open its Settings.

Tap Find my remote, then Play sound.

Follow the chime to locate the Voice Remote. The sound lasts 30 seconds. To stop it early, cancel in the app or press any button on the remote.

What you need for Find my remote
The Voice Remote must be paired with the Google TV Streamer. Google states that Find My Remote requires the remote to be paired with the streamer; the feature cannot ring a remote that is unpaired or unavailable. If the phone route is not convenient, the Streamer’s rear button can also trigger the sound.

Press the Streamer’s rear button
Briefly press the button on the back of the Google TV Streamer to make the paired remote sound.

Ask a voice assistant
If a voice-assistant device is in range, try one of Google’s listed commands: “Hey Google, where’s my remote?”, “Hey Google, find my remote?” or “Hey Google, locate my remote?” The device confirms the request and the remote sounds for 30 seconds.

Use the TV’s settings with another remote
With an alternate or virtual remote, open the Google TV settings and choose Remote and Accessories, then Find My Remote. Google says this on-screen route is available only when you are using an alternate or virtual remote. The Streamer button, voice commands and other routes are documented by Google Streaming Help.
Keep using the Streamer if the physical remote is missing
You can use your phone as a virtual remote even before you recover the Voice Remote. Google supports control through either the Google Home app or the Google TV app. In Google Home, select the device; in the Google TV app, use Connect TV and pair using the code shown on the television. The virtual remote provides navigation and playback controls, but it does not remove the pairing requirement for making the physical remote ring. Follow Google’s phone-as-remote setup instructions for the app flow.

If the remote is permanently lost or damaged
A replacement is a last resort, not a requirement for using the phone workflow. Google documents its Voice Remote as compatible with Google TV Streamer (4K), and says the remote’s audio port produces the Find My Remote sound. Check Google’s Voice Remote information for compatibility details before choosing a replacement.
