After GoFullPage captures a webpage, open the capture in its new tab and use the image download action to save it as a PNG or JPEG. GoFullPage says image downloads are available in the free version; if you need a particular format, check the image-format setting in the extension’s Options.
Save a GoFullPage capture as an image
- Capture the webpage. Start GoFullPage’s full-page capture. It scrolls through the page and assembles the sections into an image that opens in a new tab.
- Choose the image format if needed. Open the extension’s Options and check the image-format setting. GoFullPage advertises PNG and JPG downloads. Its documentation confirms the setting exists, but does not establish the current exact menu sequence or every label, so follow the labels shown in your installed version rather than assuming a particular path. GoFullPage’s article about the extension describes the Options setting.
- Download the image. In the capture tab, select the image download action. An older GoFullPage walkthrough also documents right-clicking and choosing “Save Image As…” or pressing Ctrl+S on Windows or Cmd+S on Mac. That walkthrough dates from 2021; if those options do not match the current interface, use the visible download control. GoFullPage’s right-click menu tip describes those documented options.
- Allow saving if the browser asks. Grant the extension Downloads permission if prompted. GoFullPage says copying an image can work without this permission, but its save or download controls require it. See GoFullPage’s permissions guide.
Do you need GoFullPage Premium?
No, not for an unedited image export. GoFullPage’s FAQ says the free version can download screenshots as images or PDFs. Premium matters if you edit or annotate a screenshot and want to download the edited result. GoFullPage’s FAQ explains the download options.

Get a better capture before exporting
- Close pop-ups and information bars, scroll through the page, and allow its content to load before capturing. GoFullPage recommends these steps for better results in its FAQ.
- If the preview looks small, click it to toggle zoom. GoFullPage says the downloaded image remains full resolution.
- Very long pages can exceed what the browser can assemble as one image. A capture may be blank or split into multiple images; GoFullPage says the resulting parts can be viewed and downloaded. It also says very large sets of 10 or more images may not complete.
- GoFullPage cannot scroll and capture a PDF open in the browser as though it were an ordinary webpage.

Where to get GoFullPage
GoFullPage reported a Chrome storefront disruption in August 2026 and announced its restoration on September 14, 2026. For current availability, use the browser-store links on GoFullPage’s official site rather than relying on older search results.
