The Soutine Nano Banana Prompt Library pairs image previews with the prompts used to create them, giving you examples to inspect, copy, and adapt instead of starting from a blank prompt. Soutine describes the collection as containing more than 1,400 prompts; its page listed 1,429 when checked in 2026, and that live count can change.

What the library contains

The library is a browsable reference for AI image prompts. Each example is meant to show both the wording and a generated preview, so you can see what a prompt produced before deciding whether to reuse or revise it. Its creator, leony, explains the value of that pairing simply: “A prompt without an example is difficult to evaluate.”

Examples span portraits, photo editing, e-commerce and product staging, character design, anime and manga, art styles, visual effects, interiors, logos and typography, and broader creative concepts. The collection also includes restoration and product-shot examples.

The total is a live figure, not a fixed archive size. Soutine’s page listed 1,429 prompts when checked in 2026, while the creator’s more stable description is “more than 1,400.”

How to use an example as a starting point

  1. Choose a nearby category. Start with the kind of image you want, such as a portrait, product shot, or interior. A close example is usually more useful than one with an unrelated subject and style.
  2. Compare the preview with its prompt. Look for the words that appear to describe the subject, lighting, composition, style, and other visible details. The image is a reference for that example, not a promise that another generation will match it exactly.
  3. Copy the prompt and revise only what matters. Replace or adjust details to fit your subject and intended result rather than rewriting everything at once.
  4. Try the revised prompt in your chosen image generator. The library supplies examples; generation is a separate activity. Results depend on the tool and settings you use.

Make changes easy to evaluate

When an example is close to what you want, change one variable at a time—for instance, the subject, lighting, composition, or a constraint. This is the creator’s suggested practice for making it easier to compare how wording changes affect a result; it is not a guarantee that every tool will respond predictably.

Is browsing free, and does generating an image cost anything?

Soutine says browsing the examples and copying prompts are free. Image generation through Soutine is separate and uses credits. Treat those as distinct activities: viewing or copying an example does not mean that generating an image through the service is credit-free. The available information does not establish current credit prices or availability by region.

Can I use these prompts in Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, or Flux?

The library is a prompt reference, but the available information does not verify that every example works unchanged across Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Flux, or other image generators. Prompt syntax and supported features can vary between tools. Copy an example as a starting point, then adapt it to the controls and prompt format of the generator you choose.

Are the prompts and generated images free for commercial use?

Soutine says its prompts can be copied, modified, and used, and says images generated by active Soutine AI users include commercial usage rights. These are Soutine’s statements, not a universal rights guarantee. The full current terms and the legal conditions behind them are not established here, so check Soutine’s terms for your account, region, model, and intended use before relying on a commercial-use claim. Rights for images generated through another service depend on that service’s terms as well.

Can I download the full prompt collection?

The creator says a companion reference package called soutine-banana-prompts is available on GitHub. Its Hugging Face card describes the package as an introduction to the online library and says it does not contain a local prompt dataset or a downloadable model. Do not assume that the companion package is an offline copy of all the prompts.

When this library is useful

  • You need a starting point: Browse by category and adapt a prompt that already resembles the image you have in mind.
  • You want to learn from examples: Compare visible image details with the associated wording rather than evaluating prompt text alone.
  • You need a reproducible workflow: Keep a copy of the prompt you used and note the changes you made, especially when comparing one revision with another.

The library is best understood as an example catalog, not a guarantee of identical results, a local model download, or a substitute for checking the terms of the generator you use.
